İlk haftasında 238,382 adet kopya satarak Billboard 200'da #2 olmayı hakeden The Game, Billboard'un Hip Hop & Rap albümleri listelerinde #1. "L.A.X."den sadece 1,134 daha fazla satan Slipknot Billboard 200'da zirvede bulunuyor. Hafta boyunca kıyasıya yarışan bu 2 albüm ilerlerleyen günlerde ne kadar satacak birlikte göreceğiz. "Rap kazansın!" diyoruz ama kendi alanında ustalaşmış Slipknot'ı geçmek zor olacaktır.

Son olarak, Billboard 200'da Yung Berg #100, V.I.C. #73, Three 6 Mafia #56, David Banner #51'de bulunuyor. G-Unit ise fiyasko albümü "T.O.S." ile ilk 100'de yer almıyor.

Album: Beast

Rating: ★★

Review: "Beast" is the debut album from Atlanta rapper V.I.C. (Victor Gans) and features guest appearances by Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, Polow Da Don, Bun B and Jermaine Dupri. The songs with featured artists such as Jaw Jacking with Bun B and We Ridin with Hurricane Chris are decent, but not chart topping by any means. The obvious single is the Soulja Boy-produced Get Silly which has influenced the Billboard charts significantly; its Collipark Remix is featured on the album with E-40, JD, Bun B, UNK, Polow and Soulja Boy all hopping on board. The best sleeper track on the entire 19 song album is the Polow Da Don-produced joint titled Im The Shit. The ladies may also want to check out flawless for some new-age r&b rap and production.

There was a time when the whole Real Rhymers crew united onstage for shows all the time. Now the members have scattered to pursue their individual projects and the get-togethers are more of an occasion. So here's the next one:

Real Rhymers Sylabol7, SincerelyYours (formerly known as BriefListen) and V.I.C. (the three leftmost in this photo) will perform together and individually Thursday, September 11 at Bugsy Malone's at the corner of Walnut Street and South Avenue. The show, as most do there, will begin around 10 p.m. Cover is announced as $3. Also in the mix: @ddie, a transplant from Colorado whom we've seen perform with BriefListen at shows around town for the last few months.

Not only is this a rare opportunity to see Real Rhymers artists perform together, it's also a chance to catch a potential star on the rise. SincerelyYours tells us Sylabol7 has been touring extensively of late, even opening a handful of shows for the Roots. Could this be the start of something big? Here's hoping.

[gallery]Today is the opening salvo of the movie of the comedy king, DOLPHY, and the prince of comedy,VIC Sotto. Everyone is so excited to see the movie because this is the first team up of the two great comedians of the Philippine movie industry.

When Vic was asked in an interview on what is his birthday wish for the comedy king, he said that he wants to see the king gets married someday. (Of course to zsa zsa Padilla. Dolphy said that he wanted to get married but there are still some legalities that have yet to be ironed out. Dolphy said that he missed Zsa Zsa a lot because the former is in the United states doing some shows there. Vic, on the other hand, is very happy and contented with PIA Guanio.

Dolphy even advised Vic to stay away from temptations.

In their movie, their real sweethearts will have important roles too.

Seeing Dolphy at 80, I can't help but wonder If I could live that long. Let's all hope that all actors will follow his good example. Let us all hope that our movie industry will have more Dolphy in the future in terms of professionalism and good heart.

Western Australia is known for its brilliant wildflowers, and a walking holiday combined with a rental car is one of the best way to see as much of this diverse state as possible. There are a large number of parks just waiting to be explored close to the capital city of Perth all you need is some preparation, suitable maps and good walking shoes for a trip of a lifetime.

As Western Australia covers close to a third of Australia, there is a lot of walking to be done here, yet much of the state consists of desert and remote, wilderness regions. Most of the suitable bushwalks are located in the south western corner of the state, along the coastline and within easy driving distance from Perth.

There are a smaller number of national parks here than most states, but you are rewarded by the walks available, one of the most popular being the Bibbulum Track which is an extraordinary 960 kilometres and spans the coast from Kalamunda through to Albany. Most would attempt this track in stages, but there are many who come from all over the world to complete this peaceful and exhilarating long distance walk.

The Cape to Cape walk is another favourite, from Hamelin Bay to Cape Leeuwin in the south west corner of the state. Taking in a lot of the breathtaking coastline and a lot more achievable at 29 kilometres, it is an enjoyable walk suitable for most fitness levels.

Another breathtaking walk is the Tree Top Walk at the Valley of the Giants at Walpole. The walk at just over 400 metres is above tree level and gives you a bird's eye view of the forest below. For the fit and adventurous, you can't go past the Mt Bruce Summit Walk in the Pilbara region. At six hour it takes in some of Western Australia's most beautiful scenery.

With many of the walks hundreds of kilometres apart, you need to plan your itinerary ahead based on the walks you really want to do. Close to 600 kilometres north from Perth is the Murchison River which offers a lovely gorge walk. Another 500 kilometres the Pilbara region also has walks winding through incredible gorge systems. Further north is too remote to access by campervan and you really do need a four wheel drive to continue on. There are walking tours in this region which are popular.

There are enough walks close to the city that you can plan day trips and set up in one of the many camping grounds,or base yourselves in the any of the hotels, motels or bed and breakfasts scattered up and down the coastline.

At close to ten kilometres, the Narrows Bridge and Causeway offer a great walk especially popular at night to experience the city lights. Along the beach is one of my favourite walks, from Fremantle to Hillarys and taking in all the coastal beauty that Perth has to offer. It stretches along 20 kilometres of pristine coastline and is suitable for any fitness level.

Kings Park is the closest park adjoining Perth, with a circuit walk taking in panoramic views of the city and Swan River, and a number of interesting trails taking in the lovely botanic gardens. About three kilometres east from Perth are more scenic parks and gardens found throughout the Burswood Park walk. With eleven lakes scattered along the walk, you are guaranteed an abundance of birdlife and beautiful scenery.

The upper Swan Valley has some incredible sights, and located 30 kilometres north east from Perth, the Hillside Trail takes in the best this region has to offer. Pack a picnic lunch and head out for the day to enjoy this lovely spot.

Walking in Western Australia is an experience that is hard to match. There are walks for beginners through to experienced and such amazing diversity that you can stay in Perth and walk for weeks, or alternate your holiday from region to region. Head up north to Broome and walk the coast, or south to the forests and rivers that are just as breathtaking. Wherever you go, you will be destined to experience colour, beauty and plenty of space.

Adelaide the capital of South Australia is a relaxed and cosmopolitan city of around 1.2 million people and is the political, social and economic centre of South Australia.
Think of Australian holidays and images of beaches, islands, the outback and possibly a few jumping kangaroos come to mind. Think of Australian people and an image of a weather beaten bloke in a cowboy hat is probably the first caricature to spring up, followed by tanned lasses clad in bikinis sunning themselves next to the seaside. Not many people would see an Australian holiday as a chance to expand on their knowledge and compound their intelligence- theres just way too much fun to have! But the idea that there is nothing to be learnt on an Australian holiday is a horrendous misnomer, one that is about to be corrected by this write up of five Australian destinations that are guaranteed to make you smarter:

Melbourne

Melbourne is the king of cultural Australia, the centre of the arts and crafts movement in the country. With unlimited creative spaces and a myriad of avenues for expression, this is a city of museums, galleries and shows. A favoured cultural destination is the Melbourne Museum, enjoyed by over 700 000 visitors per year. Here you can get comprehensive insights into the Aboriginal culture of the state of Victoria, explore a world of emotions and memories in the Mind exhibition and completely immerse yourself in the history of Melbourne. Another museum worth visiting is the Chinese Museum, or if galleries are your thing then have a look at the National Gallery of Victoria. For more contemporary education visit the bohemian-esque suburb of St Kilda, where you can enjoy some live music, street theatre or a show.

Port Arthur

Located on the Tasman Peninsual 80 kilometres south east of the Tasmanian capital Hobart, Port Arthur is a former penal colony that was built entirely with convict labour. In the early nineteenth century it was home to the most hardened of British criminals, and its unsavoury past has become the building block to its tourist development. The impressive architecture and charming gardens of the Port Arthur historic site are a major tourist attraction, and stories of the past seem to seep out of the walls of each unique building. Guided tours can be taken of the site, and a boat goes out regularly to the little island offshore known as 'Isle of the Dead', where hundreds of convicts are buried.

The Hunter Valley

The Hunter valley is one of Australias most established wine producing regions, with over 4500 acres under vine and over 60 wineries and 80 grapegrowers in the region. There is a lot to be learnt in a holiday to a wine producing area- about the economics of the industry, about the growing of grapes and the production of wine, and about your own personal preferences of wine. There is a rich history of culture in the region which is represented by the numerous museums and galleries, which pay homage to the history of the region in terms of both its mining past and its wine growing present.

Fremantle

A vibrant and eclectic port city located just to the south of the Western Australian capital Perth, Fremantle has long been a stronghold for creativity and the arts. Freo is home to an array of heritage buildings and the city is characterised by Georgian and Victorian architecture. It also supports a large student population that attend the local campus, and help fuel the creative flames of Freo. Places worthy of a visit are the WA Maritime Museum located on Victoria Quay, and the Fremantle Prison, once one of the most notorious prisons in the British Empire. Expect plenty of live music on your visit to Freo, as busking is an encouraged art form that is immensely popular here.

Brisbane

Often overlooked as a sleepy oversized country town, Brisbane is actually a world class city with a rich heritage and established cultures. It supports a number of universities, and in the Southbank and Cultural Centre area there are theatres, galleries and museums. The Queensland Museum is especially impressive, as is the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Fortitude Valley, close to the city centre, is an outlet for very contemporary creativity, so expect a thriving live music scene and a laid back cafe culture.

As a newly arrived migrant, this is probably one of the toughest assignment that you will be facing, unless somebody has already organized it for you before you came over. Based on experience, having someone arrange it for you beforehand is not ideal as the owner or property agent would probably want to see you in person. And since the tenancy agreement normally lasts for one year, you probably would want to inspect the house or apartment yourself.

Before you conduct your property search, it's best to consider the following:

1. The number of occupants - this will determine if you will need a unit/flat or a house
2. Your weekly budget for rent
3. Location of your work or your target area if you'll be looking for a job
4. Transport - If you have your own transport, this is not a problem. But if you're going to use the public transport, you should consider units/apartments that are close to bus stops
5. There are other things to consider but as per my experience, the above are the main ones

Assuming that you've decided to get a unit/flat. They normally come with either one or two bedrooms. Either furnished or not furnished. If you've just arrived, it's probably better if you can find a furnished unit as it will save you some money at the start. As per my experience in finding a rental unit in South Australia, about 10km-20km from the CBD, the usual price range goes from about $180 to $230 per week. Depending with the type of unit, but this is the normal range from my experience.

Finding a unit in Australia is like looking for a job. All tenant applicants need to apply and the lucky one will get chosen from the list. The question is where to start?

There are two ways that I normally use when I look for a unit myself:

1. Rental search at www.realestate.com.au This is a very helpful site as they normally have the photos displayed on the website. So if you don't like the property, you can save some time in actually going there. Sometimes the list will also contain when the unit is going to be available and much more information like contact person's details, how much is the rent, etc.

2. Newspaper. Real Estate section of the saturday paper called Advertiser contains a rich information of units and houses that are available for rent.

There would be some other ways but these are the means that I find effective.

Once you have a list of prospects, you can then ring the agent or owner to arrange for property viewing. They normally set a day for this so all the interested tenants can view it at once. This is where you need to act fast especially if there are a lot of applicants. You can get the application form during the viewing and actually submit it to the agent on the spot. If you don't have the details that you need to fill out the form, you can just fax it the following day.

If your application is successful, the agent will ring you and let you know. From there, the application process can vary. But before you can move into the unit, you will have to pay the bond which is normally 4 times the weekly rent. On top of that is the two-week advance rent if your agreement is fortnightly. Once you've paid all these, you then sign the lease contract which on the average is one year. However, you can negotiate this with the agent. At the end of the tenancy period, you can get the bond back. But that is if everything is OK after a property inspection - meaning, if there are damages caused by you to the property, repair cost of that will be taken from the bond.

When you finally move, you will need to have the electricity, gas and phone reconnected to a provider of your choice.
