Mit Hilfe des iPhones, MobileMe & der iPhone-Application "WordPress" ist es ganz einfach unterwegs neue Artikel zu schreiben & Fotos online zu stellen. Mit einer weiteren Application können wir jetzt auch mobil "PodCasts" erstellen. Das online stellen ist jedoch erst auf dem Computer oder Notebook zu Hause möglich. Auch Video-PodCasts werden wir wieder aktiver erstellen und mit Hilfe von YouTube auf unserer Web-Site in den Artikeln zeigen.

Weiters haben wir vor bei Kurzurlauben & Ausflügen "Reisetagebücher" zu erstellen, die täglich online gestellt werden und nicht wie bisher erst nach der Ankunft zu Hause. So seid ihr quasi immer auf dem Aktuellen Stand was wir gerade machen & wo wir uns gerade befinden.

There hasn't really been that much to talk about lately, except that the colony wars are becoming alive again as factions new and old take a stand against domination. The weeks preceeding WrathOfGod's disbanding saw a walkover by Halcyon and Vradical; virtually the whole map was theirs.

Certain issues between Halcyon and other factions have led to some of the other factions rising up to challenge the giants, IraDeorum being one of them. In the following weeks colonies saw new owners; joining the fray are, aside from IraDeorum, ANGELES, Trojan, GuardsOfHonour, GrandLodge, Megalomaniacos and BlueOcean.

I must say rejoining the war is a refreshing experience. Many were bored with the 'simple life' of grinding. Colony wars really connects the members as an event where we can all have some fun while acheiving our objectives.

Now the colonies have been reset, let the best (and fastest) faction win!

Anyway, I'm not going to f1 (showing the very disappointed look). My cousin will be in overseas (even more sad look) sian. zZz

I was baffled at this blog I came across that had alot of facts in regards to Sarah Palin. I was looking for a blog or information that was unbiased about Sarah Palin because I had never heard of her before so I really didn't have an opinion one way or the other. The politics of the world does affect what I do because business is affected by the tides of politics.

On a different note... I went to Bend this past weekend to visit my love Tristan. While I was there I took some neat photos of Pilot Butte. I really enjoy them... even though they're through a dirty dashboard... :) However, I took some from the top as well (my new header). Enjoy!

What we thought was going to be a 24-hour stay in the hospital turned out to be three days! My aching bones will be so happy to rest in my own bed tonight.

I don’t wish to bore with Rhema’s medical details. Something rather exciting happened, however.

Dr. BEAM and his team were willing to think outside the box, and I love them for it. Mara Mara said seizure disorders have been described like a radio losing its signal or a TV screen flickering on and off. The first night Rhema’s spike index was around 65% -- better than her last reading (which was 85% - 100%), but still not great.

Dr. BEAM decided to try a high dose diazepam (valium) protocol on Rhema the second night. This is commonly used to treat Landau-Kleffner syndrome, a disorder in which epileptic seizures during sleep affect a person’s ability to speak and understand language. Dr. BEAM was hopeful that the protocol would improve things somewhat, quiet the electrical storm in Rhema’s brain.

But none of us were quite prepared for the result –

After an initial violent reaction to the high dose, Rhema slept like a baby. The next morning Dr. Duffy’s team excitedly came to us with the news that Rhema’s sub-clinical seizure activity during the night measured at 2%!!!

One doctor said (and I am nearly in tears as I write this),

“Last night her brain rested for the first time in a long time… maybe ever.”

Over the next month, we will be giving her a much smaller dose of the diazepam along with her seizure med (and more EEGs in October) in an attempt to continue reducing the spikes. The doctors are enthused; hopeful that we may see remarkable improvements in Rhema if we can keep the spike activity down. Perhaps in doing so, Rhema will be able to acquire some language.

That’s a big PERHAPS.

But one thing I became convinced of while in the hospital and that is,

God is for us.

It may not always seem like it.  Life may be horrible; circumstances may seem hopeless. But God is for us. Seriously, ask me again in a month. If my daughter makes no progress, I will still tell you, God is for us. Because He said He is. And because His goodness is not based on my circumstances. "When I cry unto Thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me." Psalm 56:9

I once heard a story in which a man lay on his death bed with his family gathered around him. He had once been healthy, but was now dying because of some medical mistake. As the plug was pulled, his wife said to those in the room, “This is by no means a lapse in God’s goodness.”

By the way, Rhema was a superstar, enduring the confinement, the pokes and prods with a smile most of the time.  She only tried to chew the power cables a few times, only bit off 12 marker heads, only tried to stuff foam puzzle pieces up her nose a dozen or so times, only had 5 meltdowns, only got trapped under the hospital bed - and it only took 3 people to get her out - one time. She was AWESOME. 8)

And I know every word to every Dora video now.

*I love riding the bus. I really think that if you want to have a heart for the city then you can really cultivate that heart by riding the bus. I saw a mom with 5 kids and a stroller get on today like she does it everyday. I shared the same bus with a homeless man and his guitar, a man with a seeing eye dog and a man in a wheel chair. I shared a bus with many different ethnicities and heard many different languages. I also smelled many levels of body odor that I had never smelled before! It is all part of it. I just feels good to be with all of us ya know? We spend so much time being segregated and its just great to all be together.

*Speaking of the mom with 5 kids. She got onto the bus and her kids kinda scattered to find seats. She had a son with her who looked to be about 9 or 10. He was beautiful. He was bi-racial and had the biggest brown eyes and eyelashes I have ever seen. He walked by and sat down behind me. I looked back and almost lost it. He just had no expression on his face but his eyes said everything. They are the kind of eyes that look straight through you. The kind of eyes that when you look at him they are all you see. I so many times wonder what my sweet August will look like. This little boy made my heart melt today.

* Call me crazy but I really think I am going to try glass bottles. I am reading up on them and I just really think I like them. Now I know that I was probably fed with these same bottles and yada yada yada but hey I think I am going to continue on my path to hippiness and try out the old glass bottles. I guess I better put them on my registry!!

*Did I mention that I had the best vanilla latte I have ever had today? I am sitting here thinking about how and when I could get another one of them. Craving it!!!!!

*I really love my husband. I mean really. He has been so strong during this whole process and talks sense into my emotional ramblings. I just cannot fathom why God put him and I together sometimes. I can't wait to see him be a dad. I can just see how soft his heart is towards kids right now.

*Speaking of Steven I gave him my 5 year plan today!! I told him where I would like to see our family be in the next 5 years. I would like to have August for a while and then start the adoption process for a South American country for a sweet little girl. Mean while while we are waiting for her to come home I would like to try and get pregnant. I don't think he really enjoyed my 5 year plan. He started sweating and shaking his head. hahhaha I love him and I am only half joking!

*I am starting the "Tamar" book from the Francine Rivers series of the women of faith. I am just a little bit into it but am really excited. Oh and by the way I checked it out from local library! I love it!

*I love being around the Ivey kids. I think it is really good for me in this stage of life. Its just great to be around kids 24/7. I love them more than they could ever know!

*I LOVE AUSTIN!!!!! I wish we could afford to live downtown. Maybe one day!

我昨晚睡不着。其实已经好几晚了。最近发生太多太多的事情，让我消化不来。

昨天晚上去shell career talk，出来原本是高兴的事，可是接到妈妈入院做手术的消息，突然愣住了。我无话可说。感觉上我应该向你们那样陪着我似的一直陪在她的身边。可是距离太远了，我无法办到。只好通过电话代替祝福与问候。

手术成功。我想，人生有很多应该去追求的事物，但是你可以飞多远呢？？你可以飞多高呢？？

我越来越对马来西亚的腐败感到反感！看最近的的新闻就知道了，我连谈都懒惰谈！！！

我妈到政府医院check眼睛。他们都说：“没有事！没有事！”你他妈的如果没有问题的话为什么去私人医院check一check就要立刻动手术了？！！如果我妈继续信你们下去的话那不是眼睛都没有了吗？！

我甚至开始有点庆幸我当初没有选择local university。。。不要怪我。。。怪你自己！！！！

Here are a few interesting facts about Laredo:

• It was the capital of The Republic of The Rio Grande when this section of Mexico succeeded from Mexico in 1840 (for 10 short months)
• The Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo after the Mexican-American war ceded the land and the city to the United States. (the city protested, petitioning the US government to cede the city back to Mexico. When the US refused, a majority of the population moved across the river to found Nuevo Laredo.
• It is the largest inland port in the US.
