Many of you already know me, and if you do you probably already I know a talk just a little, or a lot. Okay, a lot. If you don't know me, the best way to get to know me is to read my 100 Things post, which coincided with my 100th post AND the 1st Ultimate Blog Party, or my second Ultimate Blog Party post. This is just a glimpse, though and they were both written a while back so of course, there's a whole lot more going on now!!

I've been trying to find a way to make an income from home for quite sometime now, something that's a really good fit. My latest attempt at mom-entrepreneurial-ness is providing low cost homeschool resources at my newest blog Faith Family Home School. I also post a daily free link to a good educational website.

My other blog, Imperishable Beauty, is supposed to mainly be a reflection of my faith and living that out in daily life. When I started it, I also hoped (and still do) to grow into a resource for other Christian women. I still envision having guest bloggers and weekly features and the whole ball of yarn. I went through a little bit of a bloggy identity crisis there for a little bit and stopped posting very much, but lately the inspiration has returned.

Enough about me, how about you? Have you ever been to Texas? If not, you're in for a real Texas treat. One of my favorite party snacks is fresh made Pico de Gallo (well, after you let it sit in the fridge a while and let all the flavors mingle.) My recipe is almost exactly like this one, (they might use a smidge more jalapeno, I make mine kid friendly) so if you follow this and serve it up with some salty tortilla chips and it should turn out tasting pretty darn good.

You may know that pico is good with anything remotely Mexican-food reminiscent (tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos, etc.) but did you also know that its good with rice, beans and cornbread or even on top of a chili cheese dog?? Oh yes, I WENT THERE.

OR, if you're feeling a bit more snackish than that, you can throw in some black beans, corn and avocado and what you get is a hearty treat known as Cowboy Caviar.

And to drink: Cranberry Limeades!! Pour some sprite over crushed iced, add a little cranberry juice to taste, and squeeze half a lime in followed by the lime half for decoration and good measure. YUMMY! I'll have two, please... (Or if you want an actual recipe..)

Friday night pretty much started out right after work and heading straight downtown to start drinking at Pierre's. After pre-drinking, we met up with Sean, Louie, Tom, and Andrew. We were supposed to go to Fly for Grapefruit, but I took a leadership role and managed to convince all of them to go to Buddies instead, where we all actually ended up having fun! Miguel, David, English Katie, John, and Dan actually followed us there too. At first, they were playing crappy music in the main room... it was all too gay. But shortly after the the play in the other room finished, they opened up the other room where the DJ was spinning more Top 40 and dance stuff.

Saturday was such a mess since it just went by like a blur! Pierre and I didn't even get to walk around much since it was so busy, so we ended up at Greg and Cara's to just drink most of the night away! After that, we ended up walking around the streets again (sooo drunk), getting pizza, and who do we see? Miguel and Sean! So the four of us started walking around, and we saw a few people along the way, so we just started chatting it up with them. Time flew by and we didn't even realize it was already 5am. Miguel walked all of us all the way down to Queen, and yes, we all went to bed at 6am-ish, and still managed to get up by noon.

None of us even bothered to watch the parade. We just all met up for a late brunch, then headed straight for the south beer garden to start our drinkin' and partyin'... yes, at 3pm! The DJs that spun there were awesome, and we were there until it closed at 11pm. Miguel, Sean, and Louie had to leave since they got bird shit all over their shirts... LOL, funny story really. They lined up again for an hour, but at least they got to go back in before it closed for the night. I don't even remember how much I drank, but it was a lot. A bit of drama happened in the beer garden, which resulted in English Katie getting her wristband cut. We ended up getting some pizza at the basement place near Alexander since we all haven't eaten a proper dinner (we've all just been drinking!). We all stumbled into Sean's friend, Kevin K., and his friend from the UK, John, and Miguel's twin, Chris. We all headed to Byzantium to party some more, but half of us got exhausted, so it ended up being me, Pierre, Katie, and Miguel going in.

At around 1:30am, we all parted ways and ended our Pride festivities this year. Thanks to all who made it such a wonderful weekend... you guys are the best! Until next year again, boys and girls. Let's make the next better than the one that just passed. ;)

I've been busy meeting newborns (one of which may be my future daughter-in-law, ha ha!), preparing for and hosting my son's first birthday party (omg, how fast did the year go?!) and returning to part time work after 14 months maternity leave (no comment).

This is Tiny Miss S (birth weight: 2.9kg) born naturally on July 19. She's the first born of my best friends J and J and I was thrilled to be able to make it to Sydney within 24 hours of her birth to meet her and congratulate her glowing parents. Here are a few of the informal shots I took over the 24 hours that I was there.

About a week later I got to meet another good friend's newborn baby boy! It was by no means a proper photo session, but I still got to capture a few lovely moments. Meet Master A at three weeks old.

And finally, here is a storyboard of my son Toby (the photos were taken just a couple of days before his first birthday) and a photo of his birthday cake, made my moi.

Kenny Thomas - Thinking About Your Love

Inte nog med att det är en nostalgilåt, det är även en Serpingklassiker om jag inte helt tar fel. Den var då med i specialprogrammet som sändes i början på sommaren 1991.

Tar det lite lugnt med bloggande annars för tillfället. Är inte alls i nån vidare form så då får det bli ett inlägg lite när jag känner för det. Men det kommer bättre tider så småningom, så hav tålamod.

Review: King Lines is THE best climbing video I've seen. Actually, I stumbled across the trailer on youtube, and I was sold. I HAD to see this film!

The plot revolves around Chris Sharma, a climbing legend. Lowell and Mortimer's sponsors brings Sharma around the world looking for his perfect climb. He search trough the rocks of Greece and Malta in Europe before he boulders a bit in the US, climbs a few routes with his childhood gym trainer, and trek for days trough the Venezuelan jungle to find a hidden, magical bouldering spot. In between, there's some partying documented with hand held cameras, a competition in Barcelona, and a flashback and short introduction to Sharma's climbing career. Parts of this movie is set up to be a deifying of Sharma, but I'm sure he didn't want it to be like this.

Mostly it's just about the climbing. And it's so intense, I even had to take off my socks. I usually get sweaty palms when watching masters in action, but this is the first time my feet started sweating. I was tense all trough the 64 minutes of this movie, and I felt so great afterwards - I was on top of the world with Sharma by my side! Highly recommended!

In the middle of the week, there have been a ton of updates to Club Penguin. I remember when I first logged on after Club Penguin was redesigned. The screen jumped right to the start page like a gunshot going off. The loading bars just zoomed by! By the time I reached the server, I was thinking to myself, "this isn't even Club Penguin anymore!" It's okay, people. It just takes some time to get used to. All of those thoughts about how awful the updates are will vanish. In fact, I think these updates are very helpful, especially the organization of the clothing. It used to take me over a minute to change my outfit, now I can do it in about 15 seconds if I know what I want to wear. Speaking of clothing, many of the outfits were redesigned. For my example, the hula skirt. Ever since I started, I remember the hula skirt getting redesigned twice. the first time it redesigned was on June 1st, 2007 and it is represented by the middle picture. The hula skirt was redesigned once more on July 14th, 2008 along with the other clothing items. It is a lot darker and shorter than the before images. Why does Club Penguin redesign? I think they are just too bored sometimes so they just doodle up clothing items in their free time.

Updates:

1. Puffle In the Ice Rink. The puffle has moved from the Dance Club to the Ice Rink in Club Penguin. Penguins are furious because it won't let them play the game because it's hogging the puck. It isn't such a big deal, I mean, nobody really plays ice hockey that often, but Club Penguin is fixing the bug in order to let penguins play.

2. Penguin Mail. The invitation card in the old Club Penguin has transformed into the Penguin Mail service. I thought you would actually be able to write letters, but Club Penguin "stretched the truth" and just made it postcards. Unfortunately, Club Penguin removed the invitation postcards... but, all penguins have access to a free item, the mail bag, which does not do any special dances. Penguin mail is very useful if you want to send a card to someone who is online or off line.

3. Igloo Map. What an update. A map inside a map! You can access the newly upgraded (or downgraded in my mind) igloo map in the same exact place as before, but instead of names, there's pictures of everyones igloo. It is more realistic, but it is harder to find who you are looking for on the map. Club Penguin has stated that they will re-update it to make it easier for use.

4. Login screen. Wow, they just threw out the separation by flags idea. There goes future Fourth Of July Parties! The new servers are, well, the exact same servers but in alphabetical order and five pages long. But, the homepage server was a brilliant idea. It gets me where I want to go and fast. The smiley faces have turned into green dashes that looks like books to me.

5. More Buddies. Yes, Club Penguin has finally added the more buddies feature. It is rumored that a penguin can now have 300 buddies on their list at once. I am not sure if this is a mistake or not, because on the "edit my penguin account" area, it is always: (number of buddies)/100; this must be some kind of a mistake. Anyway, penguins are adding as many buddies as possible. I have found that it takes a long time to fill up the extra space. Well, more friends can now come in the big circle!

These are only a few; there are plenty more updates to Club Penguin! Try and find them all!

PS: Club Penguin has deleted most of the "swf" files that they have created. Unfortunately from this, I might have to delete the icon section from the sidebar. Hopefully, a new "swf" type of file will be found so that the page can continue.

Saturday August 1st marks arguably the most anticipated party of the R.T.I. lineup, David Wrights'       Day Dreams has set the standard for day parties (which have been on the rise eg. Tease, Taboo, Malibu Sunset etc.). With a sexy and sophisticated all white theme Day Dreams transforms the Solaris Estate into an immaculate escape. Although we haven't been prompted on this years DJ line up, Kurt Riley and Jazzy T graced the wheels of steel along with Mr Shaun. Day Dreams 2008 is expected to be just as extravagant if not more than last years, so all you party goers, if you have never already heard of or attended this event (You need help!) be sure to this year check it out this year.

Saturday August 1st D.N.A. Entertainment present Pretty In Pink, a Super Drinks Inclusive party, by which it name suggest carries a pink theme. First 100 ladies in pink enter free, then it's $1,500 for both males and females. Musical selection from Razz and Biggie, Tony "Dutty Wine" Matterhorn and ZJ Liquid. As always there will be lost of prizes and give away, this year the promoters will be giving away a Black Berry Pearl an L.G. Shine and Round Tickets To Miami

Saturday August 2nd Absolute Entertainment will transform the Long Bay Football Field into STAGES Club Rio. This Ultra All-Inclusive party will featuring musical selections by Renaissance, DJ Prostyle, DJ Renegade, DJ Entyce, DJ Lennox and Black Chiney. With a price tag of $3,000 Pre-sold and $3,500 at the gate Absolute Entertainments' STAGES never fails to please.

Saturday Augst 2nd Mardi Gras comes to Negril. Jokers Wild presents  COLOURS Jouvert Flavour at Long Bay Beach Park, 10pm-Until.
