Pretty much everyone who’s ever had a Nokia is familiar with the classic Snake game; Here

Pretty much everyone who's ever had a Nokia is familiar with the classic Snake game; Here's a screen grab of Snakes 3D, the beefed-up version for Nseries multimedia devices.

It looks great but is almost entirely unplayable -- I'm stuck somewhere around the fifth level and I've no idea why my snake keeps arbitrarily blowing up!

I had a similar experience with Nokia's (lack of) game design when I covered E3 back in 2004. I was demoing some WWII sim on the original N-Gage handset at Nokia's booth, and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. It didn't help that some Finnish dude was hovering behind me barking curt and very complicated instructions..

Fortunately N-Gage is no longer the subject of ridicule, but instead a built-in application on Nseries phones. The idea shows a lot of promise, but definitely requires a WiFi connection or unlimited data plan on your handset.

Like anything else these days N-Gage has a social networking layer to it. Meh. What's far more interesting to me is that every single game in their catalogue has a free trial -- and a pretty generous one at that!

I played the Mile High Pinball demo (no relation to the mile-high club -- sorry) for a good ten minutes with no interruptions, banner ads or "buy now" nags. And with a good pedigree of game developers aboard, N-Gage seems poised to be a big hit for casual gamers everywhere.

If only I could show you some gameplay! I guess Nokia has built in some DRM to its N-Gage app -- I tried to grab a screen from Block Breaker Deluxe but I guess Nokia doesn't want anyone to see the five or so intro slides it takes to get to what's ultimately a tarted-up clone of Arkanoid.

And here's where I put on my old codger's hat... I maintain that my stuffy E61i is every bit as suitable for gaming as the N82, for two reasons:

First, any decent emulator will open your handset up to virtually the entire history of console video gaming. Second, console games were programmed for landscape 4 x 3 ratio TV sets, and fit perfectly on the E61i's landscape 4 x 3 screen.

These console classics may not have 3D rendering or surround sound, but if that's so important for you then you're probably hauling around a DS or PSP in your backpack anyway -- i.e., you're not a casual gamer, so STFU!

This all may change with the release of Reset Generation, which some are touting as the killer game for Nokia's nascent N-Gage platform. Too bad it isn't out now for me to play...

3. The definition of bit rate;
4. Creating, editing of M3U playlists;
I`m not helping Nokia on any advertisment.
But support Local Music.

Independent Artists Club, By Nokia Music, is all about promoting home-grown music in all its hue, colours, genres and sound.
Enough talking about IAC

The school invasion tour aims to promote the arts to students through the most effective means possible. We believe in a holistic outreach, encompassing both entertainment and educational value. This can be achieved by bringing a series of talks and performances from some of the most esteemed musicians/producers/Dj’s Singapore has to offer. This enables the student to not only pick the creative minds of key industry players, it also gives them an insight into an unconventional career prospect.

that`s why there is 987fm Dj there!

West Grand Boulevard, they really know how to Rock, The furture of singapore Musics.

At every show, there will be a series of talks, the length of the talks will range from 20 – 30 mins, after which there will be performances by popular local acts. It’s a fairly simple concept, we want to inspire, educate and entertain the youth of today, by bringing key players in various music related professions right to their door step. By giving them an opportunity to take an in depth look into the creative minds of today, we hope to inspire the youth, so as to secure a future for the creative minds of tomorrow.

The part where people like about the simple concert is the free stuff which needed to be grab at the Nokia bus

1 - PREMESSA

* Le origini della Certificazione

* Che cos'e'

* In che modo influisce

* Utilità del DevCert

OS Symbian 9.1 =  3250 -5500 - 6110 Navigator - 6290 - E50 - E60 - E61 - E61i - E62 - E65 - E70 - N71 - N73 - N75 - N77 - N80 - N91 - N92 - N93 - N93i  ;

OS Symbian 9.2 =  5700 - 6110 - 6120 - 6121 - 6290 - E51 - E90 - N76 - N81 - N81 8Gb - N82 - N95 - N95 8Gb  ;

da QUI se avete un telefono con OS Symbian 9.1 ;

da QUI se avete un telefono con OS Symbian 9.2 ;

Scaricate e salvate sul Desktop il file Hack Perms ;

da QUI se avete un telefono con OS Symbian 9.1 ;

da QUI se avete un telefono con OS Symbian 9.2 ;

Dopo aver modificato fate File - Salva:

- 00000001.zip ;

- cert.zip ;

- CprofDriver per OS 9.2 (se avete un telefono con OS 9.2) ;

S60_3_1_Prof  per i telefoni con OS 9.2 ;

Ora facciamo Options - Profiler - Start

Potete scaricare i files :

QUI per OS 9.1 ;

QUI per OS 9.2 ;

Ora fate Opzioni / SelfSign:

Fatto!

A presto!

Diganme algo plis...

Nokia aims to exchange 35 million GPS-enabled handsets in 2008 and is expected to soon outperform the popular market leaders to become the number one vendor in the global mobile navigation product (including PND and GPS handsets) market. Nokia's object numbers are close to the combined shipment figures projected by the aware three leading vendors - Garmin, TomTom and Mio. In 2008, Garmin is expected to carry about 16-18 million PND devices, TomTom targets to despatch 14-15 million PND products, and Mio is projecting to sell another eight million own-brand pilotage products.

In fact, Nokia jumped to second place in the unfixed navigation device market in the Asia Pacific in the first quarter of 2008, from the fourth stance in the previous quarter, according to global market research firm Canalys. Nokia can be expected to become the eminent vendor in the Asia Pacific as early as the second quarter. Additionally, by leveraging its close ties with ambulant operators in Europe, Nokia is also expected to replace TomTom as the largest vendor of sensitive navigation products in Europe by the end of the year.

However, it could take Nokia a bit longer to out measure Garmin in the North America market where Nokia is currently relatively weak in terms of marketing.

HELSINKI (Reuters) - The rejuvenated technology which enables midget payments from mobile phones by just flashing the handset is likely to reach masses only around 2012, when one phone from five sold will be equipped with the technology. Consumers will be able to use a phone as a billfold or as an access bank card simply by waving it over a wireless reader -- and in some cases punching a PIN loads into the phone -- similar to how travelers in Tokyo and London access public transport. The technology is timely and Nokia (NOK1V.HE: , , ) has introduced four products using it so far -- but the predetermined offering and high costs are hampering the take-up, which could help transport firms to chop off costs and cellphone makers to support prices.

"When the 20 percent knock down is reached it starts to feed itself. That is the critical point," Jukka Suikkanen, R&D boss at top Nordic telecom operator TeliaSonera (TLSN.ST: , , ), told an manufacture seminar in Helsinki. Research firms Strategy Analytics and ABI Research have forewarning the 20 percent penetration would be reached in 2012.

Mikko Saarisalo, a technology executive at the world's top cellphone maker Nokia, declined to comment on the outlook for the technology, but said 30 percent of phones enabled verse messaging (SMS) before it took off. ABI Research has presage 6.5 million NFC (Near Field Communication) phones would be sold this year, up 10 close from 2007, but the growth is hampered by costs stemming from an extra sherd needed in phones for data security.

Nokia's 6131 model sells for 139 euros in Finland, but for the NFC type of the same phone retailers are asking up to 100 euros more.

The E65 is a Mobile Phone by Nokia.I have written a review on it.Please read it and give your opinions.I thank WOM WORLD for giving me this device for trialing.

Positives

Excellent Slider
Good Keypad
Good Battery Life
Wi-Fi
micro-SD Card Slot,Crystal Clear Call Quality

Negatives
Small Screen
Bad Camera
No Secondary Camera For Video Calls

Design

The E65 is a slider device from the Nokia E-Series.Its a real beauty.You fall in love with the as soon as you see it.Its the first E-Series slider.Its a single-way slider unlike the Nokia N95,N95 8GB and N96.The device is very small and hence comfortable to use.

Build Quality

The build quality of the device is absolutely brilliant.There are no creaks even though its a slider.The slider is very good.The slider is not loose and there is no gap between the slider parts.This was a problem in the Nokia N95.But in this device sliding makes you feel how good a device it is.But if you notice carefully, you can hear the slider pressing the keys while the device is being slid up.Though I havent used the device long enough as to say whether this gives any problems, I suppose it wont.

Materials

The materials used on the device are metal and plastic.THe phone feels good in hand because of the materials used.The back side of the device has a pattern which makes holding the device more comfortable and gives a better hold on the device preventing it from slipping.

Keypad

The keys on the device are very easy to press.The provide great feedbact.The size of the keypad is perfect for normal calling purposes even with people with big hands(I have big hands).The five-way scroll key is very easy to use.On the top part of the slider, the keys are call key,end key,five-way scroll key, menu key,delete key,personal key,phonebook key etc.It has keys on the right side like volume keys,stylus key and voice dial key but there are no keys on the left side of the device.

Display

The display on the device is very good however the screen is very small in size and hence it is not fit for watching videos.For daily use there would be no problem.

User Interface

The user interface as in all S60 phones is brilliant.Even new users can get used to it really fast.

Connectivity

The device offers a wide range of connctivity features such as HSCSD,EDGe,3G,Wi-Fi,GPRS,Bluetooth,Infrared and USB.Surfing on the internet is at light speed.

Performance and Memory

The device is very fast with 128MB of RAM.Multi-Tasking is not be a problem.It has a built in memory of 50MB.It has a microSD slot and supports cards upto 2GB.However it doesnot have hotswap.You have to remove the battery cover to insert/remove the memory card.

Camera

This is one of the biggest let downs of the E65.It has a 2 Megapixel camera and it supports video.But the camera lacks a flash,autofocus and camera cover.The lack of a flash makes taking photos in the dark a big headache even with the night mode switched on.The lack of autofocus mostly results in blurry photos but you can do quite well if your hands are steady.The camera lens also gets dirty since there is no lens cover.

Music

The sound quality is quite decent however it does not surprise you.The music player is the same.The volume is sufficient but it cannot be heard in noisy places.The speakers also distort at high volumes.

Call Quality

The call quality is brilliant.The audio through the earpiece is crystal clear.You dont have to keep the volume at max to hear the person unlike in some phone.

Conclusion

Its definetly a breakthrough by Nokia considering the amazing call quality,build quality,keypad,performance,connectivity etc.But no device can be perfect and even the E65 has its bad aspects such as bad camera,music quality etc.But I give a big applause for Nokia for a job well done.

Standing at a Tube station with an A to Z, baffled as to which street to walk down, may soon be a thing of the past thanks to a technology which lets you orientate yourself in relation to your surrounds using your phone.

Nokia has unveiled the world's first phone with a built-in compass, which will mean that owners can not only find out where they are but also gauge which direction they should walk in by lining up satellite images on their phone with the objects they see around them.

The 'compass phone' - or Navigator, as it is called - works by aligning maps that already exist within the handset according to magnetic north - much as a compass needle would. The owner can then look at the buildings around him or her, line them up with the satellite imagery that is generated by the phone's GPS system, and work out which way to walk.

Having a compass in a phone with GPS also opens up the possibility that a person should not in theory be able to be lost no matter where they are on the earth's surface, because the phone should always be able to point them in the direction of the nearest town.

Although GPS systems have for several years assisted with navigation, they typically depend on movement in order to assess which way a car, for instance, should turn. Combining this technology with a compass, however, should in theory enable a device to tell a person which way to go from a standing start.

The Navigator, which will be released in Europe in July, was just one of a number of phones Nokia was displaying at the Where 2.0 conference in San Francisco dedicated to 'location-based services', or technologies which take advantage of knowing where a phone is or where it has been in order to provide information to its owner.

Using a GPS-enabled phone, people can now, for instance, get directions to a nearby restaurant of their choice, first by choosing a cuisine - Italian, say, and then having the phone trawl through the addresses of all Italian restaurants on the web to discover which are nearby. The restaurants are listed by proximity, and the person can be guided to them by the phone's GPS system.

Other applications of 'geo-tracking' include allowing a jogger to see more information about a run they've done - how far they've gone (and the route they took), how high they climbed, how fast they travelled at different periods, or how many steps they took - all by processing the data gathered by a phone's GPS sensors.

GPS-based information can also be attached to photographs, so a tourist, for instance, can see on a map the precise location of where they took each of their pictures.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/audio_video/times_online_tv/?vxSiteId=d8fa78dc-d7ad-4d5a-8886-e420d4bc4200&vxChannel=Times%20Online%20News&vxClipId=1152_timesonline0661&vxBitrate=300

There will also be scope to link other web-based information - such as Wikipedia entries - to maps, so that as a tourist travels in an open top bus through London, more information about the objects they are passing could be offered to them.

"You can essentially become an expert on everywhere," Michael Halbherr, head of location-based services as Nokia, said. "One click and you know where you are. Suddenly location becomes a hugely important lens through which to see the world."

Nokia has already compiled maps of more than 170 countries, and for upwards of £59.99 per year, owners of GPS-enabled handsets can get 'live navigation' services delivered straight to their phone, rather than needing a Tom Tom or other standalone GPS device.

The company, which makes two fifths of phones sold in the world, has said it will ship 35 million GPS-enabled handsets this year.
