If you get into an online business that says you get spill over, get out and run. Why? I will tell you in a minute, I would like to point out something first. Lets say that you jump into a business, you know it sounds good, the comp plan is good, the product is good, they have been around for a while, why not right!

What about the upline? Where exactly are you going to be in there matrix. You know... you will never know who you have in your upline... sure you will know them eventually maybe, but who are they? If it were me I would like to know how long have they been in the business, what experience they have in MLM since Im going to spend my hard earned money into this business in which they are going to benefit from.

Are they going to help me? They should if they had any skill at all! They should have a vested interest in you because of what you do, they will benefit and the fact of the matter is, is that you are there to make money and you want to be successful so why wouldn't you qualify that person that is sponsoring you?

The more tenuous our national economy becomes, the more important it becomes for all of us to be connecting with those we want to do business with, instead of just networking. The harder it becomes for people to trust government and long established institutions, like banks, the more people want to do business with people they know and trust. Whether you are a small brick-and-mortar business owner, a sole proprietor trying to get your product or service to the market place, a multi-level marketer or a sales person representing a large company, making connections should be foremost on your marketing agenda.

With America fast losing her ability to trust large organizations, the more individuals will turn to those they know and trust to build buy their products and services. With disposable income becoming tighter and tighter, you want to be the first person people turn to when they want to buy something.

If you are not our making connections, you are missing your market. More than ever people are looking for someone to trust. You can be that person if you make sure you offer integrity, a good product at a fair price and service they can count on.

Whatever you are selling, if you are out there making connections, someone will find you. If however, you are sitting in front of your computer waiting for the next financial institution to crumble or the price of gas to go up, you will lose out on a great opportunity. Be the guy they are looking for! Someone to trust!

This business is a funny thing. I don’t mean ha ha funny, just odd funny. If you take a look at a “traditional” business model, it doesn’t have near the challenges that a MLM business has. In my dental practice years, I never depended on calling or talking to 100’s of people every month just to get one for my services. I didn’t have to convince them to use a product just to get the benefit they needed to improve their lives. I never had to deal with people choosing not to work for me or quitting just before they got really well trained. All my patients (and staff) did everything exactly as they were asked.

Oh wait! That was my dream practice. I did have to call people constantly. I did have to deal with people who didn’t follow my recommendations and expected fantastic results. I had staff quit. I had new hires not show up on day 1, and interviews not show up. Hmmm. I also had rent, facilities maintenance, payroll, federal, state and local regulations. I had to keep equipment running, a stock of various items and then there was advertising costs.

Well MLM isn’t so odd then. In fact it has all the benefits of a private owned business without some of the drawbacks, like rent, maintenance and payroll. But now the question that remains is why would anyone want to own an MLM business? Indeed! There are people out there that want the financial and personal freedom that MLM offers. They enjoy the benefits of the personal development that often goes hand in hand with a network marketing business. (in case you are unaware, MLM and network marketing are the same animal) They just don’t want to talk to anyone. Of course that defeats the whole MLM game. How do they expect to gain the freedoms if they don’t actually participate in the business? Come to think of it, how did my patients expect to get healthy if they didn’t follow my recommendations?

So, it isn’t this business that is odd, it is the people that we talk to that are. That being said, we still have a responsibility in the business to let as many people as possible know what we are doing. Today’s economy is putting people in a financial squeeze that makes MLM one of the few viable alternatives to economic freedom. Even now, we have to deal with people and all their quirkiness and that can be tough. The trap that we so often find ourselves in is wanting it more for our prospects than they want it for themselves (or even worse, being personally desperate to make it work). When prospects don’t answer the phone (ever), don’t return messages, say they will “do this” and then fall off the ends of the earth, we have to keep going. Sure we are disappointed, but we can’t let that take us out of the game.

Listen, I am no GURU, nor do I want to go there. I have struggled in this business and I have triumphed. I still struggle, and I still triumph. I take the good with the bad and keep going, because I know persistence is the key. Recently I did have an excited prospect say they were going to “do this” and the follow up call to get them signed resulted in the proverbial “leave a message”. I would lie if I said it didn’t bother me that the prospect didn’t show up, and I MOVED ON. I know that my worth as a network marketer is not tied up in one prospect (or any prospect for that matter).

Some people do struggle with moving on. They let that little negative voice within tell them they are unworthy of the freedoms that Network Marketing offers. When this happens (when, not if) a person needs to be able to notice that negative voice, acknowledge it, and change it. There are many ways to do this change: Affirmations, daily prayer, talk it out with a supportive upline or spouse, daily discovery of your self worth, keeping your “why” constantly before you, the list is long and different things work for different people. The point is to keep moving.

This business will always be a little odd, but any people business is odd.

HOW TO START A PROFITABLE HOME-BASED BUSINESS

Hello and thank you for coming back to my blog.

Lyn Menzies here again….

In these days, it's becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet with just one source of income.

Thus, more and more people are investigating the possibilities of starting their own extra-income business. Most of these part-time endeavors are started and operated from the comfort and privacy of the home.

Most of these people are making the extra money they need.

Some have wisely and carefully built these extra income efforts into full-time, very profitable businesses. Others are just keeping busy, having fun, and enjoying life as never before. The important thing is that they are doing something other than waiting for the government to give them a handout; they are improving their lot in life, and you can do it, too!

The fields of mail order selling, multi-level marketing, and in-home party sales have never been more popular.

If any of these kinds of extra income producing ideas appeal to you, then you owe it to yourself to check them out. But these aren't the only fields of endeavor you can start and operate from home, with little or no investment, and learn as you go.

If you type, you can start a home-based typing service;

Or if you have a truck or have access to a trailer, you can start a clean-up/hauling service. Simply collecting old newspapers from your neighbors can get you started in the paper recycling business. More than a few enterprising housewives have found success and fortune by starting home and/or apartment cleaning services. If you have a yard full of flowers, you can make good extra money by supplying fresh cut flowers to restaurants and offices in your area on a regular basis. You might turn a ceramics hobby into a lucrative personalized coffee mug business. What I'm saying is that in reality, there's literally no end to the ways you can start and operate a profitable extra income business from your home. Mums or moms are working from home all over the world and are doing very well and half of them are making money online

The first thing you must do, however, is some basic market research.

Find out for yourself, first-hand, just how many people there are in your area who are interested in your proposed product or service, and would be "willing to stand in line and pay money for it". This is known as defining your market and pinpointing your customers. If after checking around, talking about your idea with a whole lot of people over a period of one to three months, you get the idea that these people would be paying customers; your next effort should be directed toward the "detailing" of your business plan.

The more precise and detailed your plan - covering all the bases relating to how you'll do everything that needs to be done - the easier it's going to be for you to attain success.

Such a plan should show you start-up investment needs, your advertising plan, your production costs and procedure, your sales program, and how your time will be allocated. If you decide to start a home base business on the Internet one of the first things you will have to do is learning blogging Too often, enthusiastic and ambitious entrepreneur jump in on an extra income project and suddenly find that the costs are beyond their abilities, and the time requirements more than they can meet. It pays to lay it all out on paper before you get involved, and the clearer you can "see" everything before you start, the better your chances for success.

Check in again soon for my next update :)

Warm Regards,

We all know people for whom things just seem to work out. They walk through life with every door opening and everyone loves them. Unfortunately, most of us have traits and quirks that need to be addressed in order for us to move forward with life and experience the kind of success both personally and professionally that we really want.

Maybe, like many people you are pushy and brash, perhaps you are overconfident and appear to most people like you are bulletproof. All of which can be very annoying and can actually turn others away from you. Equally problematic are those people who let others run over them, or who pretend problems don't exist and just ignore them hoping they will go away. Still others are pushovers, letting the whole world run over them and then there are those that are just too nurturing or not nurturing enough.

Most of us don't view these traits as things that would actually hold us back from success. We often don't see those really "nice" people as being held back with niceness. But sometimes being a pushover, doesn't let people take you seriously.

So what do you do if you think there is a consistent trait in your life that may be holding you back. The first step is admitting that this is an issue in your life. Talk to friends you trust and let them verify that you may be having a problem. Once you have decide you have a problem think about ways to over come the issue. For instance, if you are pushy and people feel like they have to do what you want all the time, start by putting yourself in their position and begin to let others speak more and make decisions. Or if you are someone who is too nice, start by making some decisions on things the way you want them done. Stop letting others push you around.

We all have things that hold us back, some more than others, but to be truly successful maybe it is time to examine those things that we can change and make the changes. So what's holding you back, maybe its time to fix it!

Marketing in the 21st Century

The objective

Marketing in the 21st Century
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jen_Arizo]Jen Arizo

The objective for any firm is to deliver customer value at a profit. In such a competitive economy, consumers are faced with an abundant of choices and a company can only compete by fine-tuning the value delivery process and choosing, providing, and communication superior value.

As a business owner you know what to make and what the market will buy in order to make a profit. Businesses that subscribe to this view have the best chance of succeeding in economies marked by goods shortages where consumer are not fussy abut quality, feature, or style.

The traditional view, aforementioned, will not work in today's economy because consumers now have so many choices. Companies are now divesting into a number of micromarkets, each with its own wants, perceptions, preferences, and buying criteria. The smart competitor must design and deliver offerings for well-defined target markets. This belief is at the core of the new view of business processes, which places marketing at the beginning of planning. You should be familiar with this as many retail chains such as GAP are creating spinoffs that appeal to even small micromarkets i.e. Old Navy and Baby Gap.

Today's marketer has to define its value proposition and select a channel to market. It doesn't matter if you have a brick and mortar business or an online business the message must be defined. Choosing the value, if you are a new business seeker, is the most critical step for marketing a product or brand name. Thus, if you are starting a company without a "brand" you must ask yourself "does this firm have sustainability?" You must be pessimistic when signing up for an online business because there are millions of them out there and a majority of them do not have a value proposition. Therefore, select a business that models many of the great companies that have been around for a long time or have an outstanding model and has a bright future. Companies like Google, Crocs, Blackberry, and Amazon have terrific models with products that consumers will buy today and tomorrow. What value does Google deliver or better yet why is Crocs such a phenomenon? Crocs is just a plastic shoe but with an effective marketing approach, increased its market capitalization and just recently had a 3 for 1 stock split. Since the split the stock is up 40%. Believe it or not there are MLM companies that have been around that have realized tremendous success like Amway, [http://www.oziramarketing.com]Arbonne, and Xango, all with good marketing plans.

Your business can have the same results provided you identify your STP, Segment, Target, and Position for your business. Segment being your niche and target being your customer and its demographics. Third, the positioning of your firm is very important. The impression you make on people visiting your site or store will have a profound impact on your overall sales. Conveying professionalism and success to your potential customer is key to making an impact and creating a sustainable business.

So where did I get my [http://www.multiplestreamsforincome.com]start?

Thank you for your time and attention.

I know there are a lot of “systems” out there. Those systems are supposed to be proven,

I know there are a lot of "systems" out there. Those systems are supposed to be proven, duplicable, and teach you everything you need to know to succeed in your business. And just like me in the past, you've probably tried more than one of these systems, thinking it would be your ticket to success. But the sad fact of the matter is, these systems fail to teach you the single most important piece of the puzzle - personal branding. In fact, most distributors and affiliates are taught just the opposite of this concept. Plug into the system, let the website or your sponsor do the talking for you, and whatever you do, DON'T STRAY. After all, that same system has produced top-earners, right?

WRONG! The truth is that if these systems were so successful, every mlm or network marketing distributor out there, and every affiliate, would be living the life of their dreams and experiencing exactly the kinds of promises made by all of these home business programs. So lets think for a minute - what's the one thing keeping you from reaching your target market and increasing your network marketing sales? I'll give you a hint...it's not the products (though those are very important) or even the program itself. It's not the opposition from naysayers and skeptics. It's not even the costs of advertising that are holding you back. Think you know where I'm going with this? It's the one thing that you can't control, no matter what you do - the hundreds or maybe even thousands of others who are out to promote the same products or opportunity. Most MLM or home business companies have distributors ranging in the tens of thousands, all selling the same thing and being taught the same system. No wonder it seems so hard to succeed in home business!

So like I said, your biggest challenge is something you have absolutely no control over. In fact, the more people who decide to join, the more people that can potentially be funneled into YOUR downline. That's a good thing, right? Well, not quite. While more folks in the business could possibly mean more in your downline, it also means the more direct competition you have. And if you're not as good or as fast at plugging into that system as others, you'll be lost in the sauce. Well, that's what makes iBuild™ a completely different kind of system. We pick up where your company leaves off. We provide those missing puzzle pieces to help you gain a more competitive edge in your marketing. We teach you that single most important practice that MLM companies and affiliate programs stray away from - personal branding.

Personal branding is what sets you apart from the thousands of other folks all doing and selling the same thing. Think, without a defined personal brand, how would a potential customer or opportunity-seeker be encouraged to choose you over someone else? Simply put, they wouldn't. They'd simply click on the first website they see, and without a personal brand you'd better hope it's YOUR site. Otherwise, you'll never be able to win at this game we call multi-level marketing. At iBuild™, we focus on helping you develop your own unique "brand" that others will recognize far and wide. A simple combination of little-known techniques, custom design and relationship-building practices will help you stick out like a sore thumb (which in this case is a good thing). With just a few weeks of guidance from MLM branding coach Ina Stanley, and some dedicated action on your part, you'll be well on your way to cornering any market in any industry! Sound like a loftly promise? While it may seem too good to be true, consider this...what's the one thing that drives all of your buying decisions? Whether it's a soda pop or the latest in MP3 players, the brand is always what influences you to buy (or not). Most folks will only buy Coca-Cola or Pepsi. Well, with home business, it's no different. Most opportunity-seekers will only go with the person who bothers to stand out, like the top-earner. Most folks will join with the "stars" of the program because their names are well known, and they associate this fame with success.

So if MLM, network marketing, home business or even Real Estate are up your alley and you're looking to gain the competitive edge, stay tuned for our next post! We'll be talking more about the TRUTH behind all these "proven" and "duplicable" systems. And don't forget, iBuild™ is now in pre-launch! Stay connected with to-the-minute updates by following us on Twitter!

I just read an article about "Love of Social Networking Not Universal Affair", by Siti Syameen Md Khalili.

She mentioned about her problem with popular social networking site (SNS) like Friendster, Facebook, Hi5, MySpace and etc. She hated "catching up" with friends online. "Send a smile' or "poke" is not satisfying communication for her. As she preferred a night out for a 'teh tarik' joint, late night filled with mindless chat and discrete gossip.

Not only she, there are people that doubt the sincerity of some of the people getting on the SNS. Some of them hook you up to their network that ended up with multi-level marketing (MLM) stuffs. Just like whnen you go for seminars for self enrichment and expanding your offline network outside SNS, but you might be ended up being spam by these MLM people. I personally didn't mean to be offend about MLM. I do agree that some MLM people do behave while some don't.

The other problem might be about addiction to SNS. They might be addicted to SNS 24-7-365. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

While I do know many people appreciated SNS, as they can stay connect using SNS with their friends, knowing how their friends are doing, especially friends abroad or in other states.

Recently, I had a great experience because of SNS. I just met up with friends, my primary schoolmates, at a friend's wedding dinner. I haven't met up with them for few years, some even more than 10 years. At beginning of the dinner, I wasn't that comfortable as I couldn't get the "Hot Topic" to chat with them. But, when it came to the topic about Facebook and Friendster, the heat just went on. We even went on talking about the applications, their photos. We talked about what we had shared on Facebook, like events, daily photos, vacations, kids, and lots more.

That's what I'm grateful for SNS.

I totally agree with Siti about "Love of Social Networking Not Universal Affair". It's all how people deal with it personally.
