So, what we have here is a new and original fable written unknowingly by an 8 year old genius.  The snake has a long history represented many different ways in many cultures.  There is the snake of Genesis and Revelations; the snake you should not tread on in American history, and many others.  In this fable, the snake represents the same kind of cunning, and deceitful creature seen in the Bible.  However, this story isn't that complicated.

This really just represents the simple nature of things.  Snakes can't have friends, even if they want to.  It is the natural order of things for them to eat whatever they can fit in their mouth.  Also, mice may be frugal, industrious, and good at reproducing but they are still scampering around the bottom of the old food chain of life.  Moral of the story, "if you knowingly play with snakes, you are going to end up dead."

Of course, my son,...I did mention the author was my son, didn't I?  I think he was just going for the shock factor of a tricky snake gobbling down a cute little rodent.  Geniuuuus!  

This is just my honest unbiased opinion, and I am sticking with it...until snakes and mice start getting married and having tea-parties together.

What's up with the person doing a google image search for Mighty Mouse...and constantly hitting my blog? This has been going on for a few months now...and I just don't get it. Who google's Mighty Mouse, anyway? Well...besides me...I did...once. It was for a post I made in May.

When I first noticed that I was getting hits from an image search for Mighty Mouse on google....I took the Mighty Mouse tag off...yet I'm still getting hits from it. I don't get it...can anyone enlighten me? Kate? Is that you? LOL

Before students can begin an educational journey on the internet, computer stations are needed. Since not every school can afford the latest technology, building a computer lab may be difficult.

Luckily, there are organizations that teachers can contact to receive refurbished and recycled computers for classroom use. Computers for the Classroom and Computers for Schools are two of these non-profit organizations that aim to provide a low-cost alternative for achieving technology in the classroom.

What do these organizations do?

Basically, these two organizations accept donated computers from corporations and homes across the country. They then refurbish them, clean them up, and then sell them at a low price to schools

What comes with the computer?

Computers for Schools installs a Windows based operating system on each computer, as well as a few basic applications, like a word-processor and spreadsheets.

Each computer comes with a mouse, keyboard, and a monitor. Sometimes there are offers that allow you to purchase a printer as part of the package deal.

With electricity rather fickle and unreliably these days in the compound I was forced to get out my trusty old  Coleman Dual Fuel last week again. I had wondered a few days before why the mantles had broken off  but had put it down to insects. But when I proceeded to lit the second Coleman (number 1 can be observed burning bright in the background), I suddenly noticed that it was inhabited.  
The mouse must have crept in though the vents on top. Like a fish trap, the vents are easy to slip in, but much harder to get out. So the poor mouse was trapped inside, and probably would have starved to death if the power had not quit. I liberated the mouse outside the house, and it hopped away happily.
Fortunately I still had two replacement mantles left, so now both Coleman are back to life.

As if it was trying to live up to the reputation for wacky japes set by cartoon mice, a non-cartoon mouse has been taunting an old man in America and stealing his dentures.

68-year-old Bill Exner, from Waterville in Maine, has been plagued by the mouse for some time now. Three times he has captured it, only for it to escape three times, like the A-Team. The third time he tried to incarcerate it, it not only escaped, but also ran off with his lower dentures.

The false teeth were eventually recovered after the family had to pull apart a section of the wall that had a small mouse hole in it.

Exner said: 'We moved the bed, moved the dressers and the night stand and tore the closet apart. I said, “I knew that little stinker stole my teeth” - I just knew it.'

O and it works, too! I located the missing sketchbook pages....they were not stolen after all!

Anyways I dont know wut to do cause Mummy acktually reely likes mouses jest fine and she used to have one as a pet when she wuz young. This is before she had me and obveously she likes me better than a stoopid mouse but my point is that I am now very confoozled about whether Mummy likes or doesnt like the mouse behind the frigerator.

So Daddy and Mummy went and got a thang what is called a live trap where the mouse is sposed to walk into the trap and then get stuck in it until Mummy takes it outsides and lets it go. But Mummy also tolled me now Dozer dont you let that mouse run around in the kitchen and get into thangs. But Mummy didnt tell me how I wuz sposed to stop the mouse frum doing bad thangs so now I am kinda worried that I will not do my job correctly and then Mummy will be unhappy.

Also this is the worst injustiss of all is that Mummy putted peanut butter into the mouse trap! Can you beleeve that I didnt get any of it and Mummy sed Dozer this isnt fer you this is fer the mouse. Wut?? I wuz thinking Mummy didnt like that mouse but now she is giving it delishuss peanut butter and not me!!

Aw I am always getting treated so badly.

Freeware application called Volmouse lets you control your speaker volume with your mouse.If you install this Freeware application you can control your speaker volume while scrolling your mouse wheel up and down.

 you can define how your speaker volume change with particular mouse events like Scroll Up for speaker volume raise and Scroll Down for lessen your volume.You can define a set of rules ,when volmouse should change the volume.

For Example: You can configure Volmouse to control speakers such that When ALT key is pressed down, Left button of your mouse is pressed down, and windows media player is active.

Kitty was eat a mouse/rat.  It seemed too small to be a rat, but the tail was far too long to be a mouse.  I think Kitty had devoured half of it by the time I walked by so it very well could have been a rat.

Random girls in the backyard who don't live here (have I mentioned that people come and go all the time?): Blank stares in my direction.
Colleen: Awkward laugh.  The cat's eating a mouse/rat.
Random girls: Slight giggles, still uncomfortably staring at me.

I proceed to go in the back door.  I take notice of Halima in the doorway.

Colleen: Halima, the cat was eating a mouse/rat.
Halima: Oh, sore-ry. (Ugandans put a lot of emphasis on the first syllable of "sorry.")
Colleen:  It's not your fault.

I continue inside the kitchen-ish area of the orphanage.  I'm greeted by Auntie.

Auntie: Caaaaa-lean.
Colleen: Auuun-tee.
Auntie:  Hands me a plate.  Breakfast.
Colleen:  Opens the plate.  An omelet.  Delicious, but did I mention that I just saw the cat eating a mouse/rat.  Vomit*.

* I didn't vomit.  I only said that to add drama to the story, as a matter of fact I've not had any weird intestinal problems since I've been here.  I downed the omelet as fast as I could while thinking about Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar before thoughts of the torn apart mouse/rat consumed my brain again.
