If Happiness Were a Butterfly
I used to be good at catching butterflies,
When I was a kid, they would fly around me.
I would lurch on the grass,
Until they rest unsuspecting on a near-by leaf.
They would fold their wings together,
'Til they make themselves at my fingertips' grasp.
I would give the butterfly a close look,
And soon enough, I would free it anyway.
That was when I was young.
Perhaps the soul of the butterfly,
Was the same soul in me.

Now older, once in a while chasing butterflies,
Still remains as my business.
But I am no longer as good as before.
It often ends up as a futile chase.
Albeit the butterflies never lost their lure,
How their wings flicker in the sunlight
Or how its colors change and glimmer.

Seems butterflies do not trust anymore.
You can see it in their restless flight.
Sometimes they would launch for the heavens,
Til they become out of reach,
Worse, out of sight.
At times, they would dance around in circles,
Until they get tired,
They would rest before one's very eyes,
And reveal their wings' complex design.
Too soon this happens,
To even conceive the moment,
Before one can even capture it,
The butterfly is once again,
In its restless flight.

Why has the chase always been,
After that butterfly?
Why not the bee?
Regularly visible and busy.
Why not for that encrusted bug?
Likewise glistening in the sunshine.
Why not for the fly?
Even the one eager to get near.
And sometimes, another butterfly comes along,
More vivid and beautiful,
More trusting and less suspecting,
But it fails to enrapture.

If happiness were a butterfly,
Why has it always been the one that got away?

1. Vanity. E super, e facuta toata numai de ea/el, nu? Eu sincer n-as putea face asa ceva. E super tare, ce mai! :D Mai ales ca imi place si movul.

2. Death Note. Da, frate, toata lumea se uita la Death Note. E tare freza tipului de langa vitrina.

3. Futurama. Pot spune la fel despre Futurama. Merge folosit ca wallpaper. De fanii care au rezolutie mai mica decat mine. :D

4. Starfish. Cool shot! :D i don`t like starfishes, though.

5. Death Note 2. Multi fani, cum ziceam. De data asta e un comic.

6. Prisoner in my own. Nu gasesc ceva care sa nu-mi placa. :D E emo, oricum. :))

7. Forgotten Fairytales. Emo fairytales as zice. :)) 2 dintre subiectele preferate ale multora. Nici nu ma mir ca e asa populara creatia asta.

So, astea sunt cele mai iubite 15 creatii de pe cel mai popular site de design web. Mie nu-mi prea plac, dar deh.. majoritatea. Sunt pe deviant chestii de mii de ori mai reusite si mai 'touching' si mai misto... :)

Last time I shared with you my artistic journey thus far. Now let me share with you my latest obsession. Well, it started out as experimentation but in a few months has grown in to an obsession. I tend to be very much like that...I don't do things in halves. I have developed a love of digital art. Particulary photomanipulations. Although I prefer to call them photomontages, as someone recently told me that "manipulation" sounds negative.

I was always so impressed by the digital art on Deviantart but had no idea (and very limited Photoshop skills) to even attempt a piece. When I finally realised what stock photos are for (yes I am a bit slow), I decided to give it a go. My first piece wasn't too good. The girl in the field appeared to be floating and I had no idea how to change that. Thankfully a very helpful person on Redbubble sent me a really useful tutorial for creating shadows in Photoshop and suggested a few tools I might try in Photoshop also. Something clicked for me and I created Searching For One Good Heart:

By no means the most technical piece of art but it certainly means something very special to me.

Empezemos con la que conoci su trabajo: customizar zapatos y tenis con pintura acrilica y lapiceros a prueba de agua. Diseños muy coloridos y con personajes caracteristicos mounstrositos que identifican su trabajo.

Hollywood. Oh, Hollywood. Every time I see a movie about a group of people who play baseball/hockey/whatever, they have many difficulties on their way but they still make it to the whatever championships. violins play and everybody's happy. Madly original. I mean, just a few films with a plot like that would be ok, but there are hundreds of them!

• Government Photography - The US government offers most of its photos as stock footage, for free download. The link is a list of government photography portals. The sites run by NASA have really cool views of space and earth, and you can find great nature shoots on the National Park sites. Surf around, you might find something cool.
• DeviantArt Photography - DeviantArt is mainly filled with manga, of which I'm not much of a fan of, but there's also some photography. The link directs you to the photos most popular in the last 24 hours, which are pretty cool. Additionally, you can download all of the photos for free, so you can do whatever you want with them!

Los iconos se suelen utilizar tanto para ponerlos en las aplicaciones o carpetas del ordenador como para usarlos en alguna pagina web/blog.

Deviantart: pinchar en cualquiera de ellos y a la derecha pinchar en "Download". Si os gusta bastante los iconos de algun autor/a pinchar en su avatar y veis lo que tiene publicado ;)

Customize: pinchar en cualquiera de ellos y debajo de la imagen pinchar en "Download file".

Si lo quereis utilizar para ponerlo en alguna web/blog teneis que fijaros que la extension de los iconos (una vez extraidos) sea .png para que el fondo de este sea transparente. Aunque en todos los packs no estan estas imagenes, pero si en la mayoria.

just a quick message to let everyone know that tonight I'm going to be taking pictures at the Mucha Marcha presents Annie at The Proud Galleries.  Dan Mumford (a jelly artist!) is doing a live portrait session so I will be reporting his progress and showing my support. When I first joined deviantArt, I didn't know a lot of people besides my friends so I just started looking around. I saw Still Standing (pictured on the right) at the Prints section and put it on my wishlist. After a while, I chanced across Traveling on a Lonely Road (pictured below) and fave'd it. I started watching him after that.

Update after update, he never ceases to amaze me. I always refer to photography as capturing life's beauty and he certainly does that with his photos. His works made me realize how beautiful Israel is.

He also got me interested in IR photography, which I am yet to pick up. (*Note: Sasha needs moolah.)

His concepts are amazing and varied. I never get bored visiting this guy's gallery. Aside from the amazing photographs, his descriptions are always well thought out. He writes a short poem that goes with the photo along with his camera settings, photoshop tweakings, etc.

His description for Traveling on a Lonely Road reads:

Never been so alone as I was on my way to you
Traveling on a lonely road and chasing a fading rainbow
The road seems longer with every step I take
A storm is about to silence my thoughts and so I break
A tear in my eye reflects us passing by
I'll still be on my way even when I arrive
So allow me to look you in the eye, whisper my final goodbye

It would be a dream to be an apprentice for this guy, just to follow him around and watch him work. Aside from being a great photographer, I see that he has a lot of love for his country and that's something to admire as well.
