The same man that many praise on his slogan of change.  What type change are you all supporters wanting can I ask.  Do you think it's cool to hang with a druggie and their clan of people that hate America and all it stands for?  Do you think it's cool to trash talk our United States Army and Marines, Navy?  Do you think it's cool to trash the American flag and show disrespect for it?  Do you think it's cool to steal rob and commit fraud with voter registrations?  Do you think it's cool to scam people and use them to manipulate others and promise things which can never be? Do you think it's cool to have a person tell you what you can or can not say?  Do you think it's cool that Barack Obama defended the Acorn group and taught them what they know today?   Well if you answered yes to any of those then by all means Barack Hussein Obama is your guy.

However, I still love girls--maybe because I am one, eh?  I especially love the clothes and shoes that are deigned for them.  I used to pine away at all the cute, dainty pieces in the stores.  Now I don't have to fantatsize any more because I can buy them!

Nicholas is not really into clothes.  He will put on anything.  I've had to train him over the years to match colors.  He's pretty good at it now, but still takes little interest in clothes.  He does not like to go shopping and believes that giving clothing as gifts is in bad taste.  When he was four months old, I took him out to buy a snow suit.  He was livid that I dared to try it on him.  I can still see his chubby red face contorted with tears.  I guess he never recovered from that incident! 

But I like shopping for him as well, it just represents more of a challenge.  I like to mix up his wardrobe so that it includes more than the standard t-shirts and jeans.  His clothes remain in mint condition because he wears uniforms to school.

I have bought Jazmine so many clothes that we are running out of storage space.  There is a new store at one of my favorite malls called Crazy Eights (go figure!) with the most adorable girl clothing and accessories.  I also like Target and Macy's.  But the fact is that most stores have cute things for girls!  It is soooo hard for me to resist!!!

It is nice having both sugar and spice.

My name is Mr. Modern, (Well, not really) and I am not an adult. I am an average teenager living in the suburbs.

So why do you care?

I am the kind of guy that wants to publish myself on the web, and be a help, and a service to people.

So I decided to create a Blog.

This blog is about modern trends, as I observe them, and what to know, so you are in the know.

So to start off with, let me explain who I am.

I am a teenager who lives within a suburban town, and I watch and observe everything. I am known to be extremely tech-savvy, and with this savvy-ness I hope to answer any questions you have.

I am not one of the popular kids, but they all know me, and say hi from time to time. I see and observe and discover things I feel a normal teenager would not notice or even care about. Things about trends, social patterns, and other things.

This blog is to share these discoveries with you, giving you examples (with changed names of course) of instances where I observed these happenings.

I don't care what you think of me, my blog, my writing skills, or my dramatic way of expeessing myself, I do care about your problems, your questions, and your curiosities regarding the teenage world, technology, and culture.

So I am here to help. Please ask questions about anything, and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.

Fruit punch is the best, you can only buy them from Bartell's on Lake City and Safeway in the U-District. Coffee is gross, expensive, always too hot, and now I get to visit nice old people cashiers at Bartell's rather than snotty or overly nice baristas every morning.

Qué es aquello con forma de huevo, se mueve como Maikel Yackson, y tiene más luces que un platillo volante? Es un Mp3 que se mueve como un Robot? O un Robot que se mueve con Mp3?

Pues se trata del nuevo Sony Rolly, que descubrimos vía No puedo creer que lo hayan inventado: El jueves pasado organizaron un evento de presentación en España de su grupo de música asociado "The Rollies", pase exclusivo para unos 200 elegidos en la sala Lolita de Razz. Y desde Negando lo Evidente, algo con una pinta tan "Tecno-Kitch" no nos lo podíamos perder!

Y la verdad es que nos trataron como reyes: entrada gratis al concierto, tres consumiciones incluidas, camisetas, chapitas y merchandizing de los Rollies gratis, sorteo de uno de los aparatos....

Respecto el grupo, indie rock -una especie de Weezer- nada del otro mundo, pero resultón. Respecto el Rolly, me sorprendió que no lo presentaran, ni le dedicasen ninguna palabra ... aunque bueno, la impresión que me dio es que la mayoría de asistentes al concierto eran trabajadores mismos de la Sony, así que supongo que ya lo debían conocer bien. Ah! Y el sorteo, una pena, por UN mísero número y ahora os estaríamos haciendo una review completa de las features del cachivache.

Y eso, entonces el Rolly este, qué hace exactamente?

Pues si no habeis entrado al link de arriba os pongo un video en el que el Rolly sale perreando a ritmo de Shakira:

La verdad es que es mono y tiene su gracia, y tal vez consiga llegar a ser un objeto de culto, pero no creo que llegue a vender demasiado, por varias razones: La más importante el precio (en comparación al valor añadido del hecho de bailar). Y también la incomodidad de de tener un huevo que se mueve dentro del bolsillo; el hecho que en una estantería o una mesa podría de sufrir un accidente; y para más INRI, en caso de dejarlo en el suelo, los que podemos sufrir un accidente somos nosotros mismos! Aunque claro está, puede ser que sea yo el que anda escaso de imaginación, y en realidad existen cantidad de aplicaciones varias como por ejemplo (un, dos, tres, responda otra vez):

- Huevo de pascua galáctico

- Espantapájaros 2.0

- Atándolo a una cuerda tendriamos un Yoyó Supersónico

- Para asustar a los ratones

- Para que los más freaks lo pinten de R2D2

- Para ser el más popular de la semana en tu cole privado

- Ummm. Se os ocurre algo más?

Nota final: Lo dicho, el Rolly no es un iPod, lo máxime, aspira a efecto vírico de buena propaganda (que comentaba en el anterior post también), como el que podría conseguir un robot que baila (o que sube escaleras, o como los que juegan a fútbol que os presentamos hace unas semanas). Pero como ingeniero, sí creo que debe ser apasionante poder desarrollar un producto en el que puedas combinar tan libremente las características técnicas (movimientos de baile basados en Inteligencia Artificial), un diseño innovador y un marketing tan especial.
