Com "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" ainda por estrear nas salas portuguesas, em que Woody Allen junta Scarlett Johansson e Penélope Cruz nos papéis principais, o realizador já está a preparar o seu proximo projecto em que poderá ter Jennifer Aniston, a estrela da série "Friends" como protagonista do seu próximo filme, noticia a revista Ok! Magazine.

Jennifer Aniston e Woody Allen jantaram juntos na passada terça-feira, num restaurante em Los Angeles,  juntamente com a mulher do realizador, Soon-Yi Allen e o agente da actriz, para conversarem sobre um futuro projecto.

De acordo com a revista, o realizador mostrou apenas um excerto do argumento à actriz, em que uma fonte descreve á revista esse momento: "Allen entregou umas quatro ou cinco páginas com diálogos; ao ler, Jennifer dava muitas gargalhadas".

Isto como é óbvio não passa ainda de um rumor, mas caso se confirme são excelentes notícias, em que após três projectos consecutivos com a dupla Woody Allen / Scarlett Johansson, poderemos ver uma das actrizes mais acarinhadas pelo público num filme de Woody Allen.

Le film démarrant comme le portrait d’une famille dysfonctionnelle, déconnectée de la réalité, devient un film sur un pays en crise, en pleine révolution. Le portrait de l’un se voulait le reflet de l’autre, mais le virage est si brutal que les évènements absurdes deviennent des tragédies réelles. Le changement de ton est surprenant et laisse un peu le spectateur langue pendante devant cette guerre intestine qu’on ne voit pas venir, à l’image des biens nantis, enfermés dans leurs tours d’ivoire.

Ieri sera serata al cinema a vedere KungFu Panda :-) Carino Carino Carino!!! Non posso farci nulla, adoro i film d'animazione e i livelli di qualità a cui sono arrivati mi sorprendono ogni volta. :-D

Al centro della vicenda c'è Po, un panda deliziosamente maldestro che sogna di diventare un eroe del kung-fu. Nella realtà però deve accontentarsi di lavorare nel ristorante di spaghetti del padre.

Ma le cose cambiano in fretta, il Guerriero del Dragone deve essere scelto, Tai Lung sta per evadere e il Guerriero dovrà proteggere la valle dalla sua voglia di vendetta.

Ho decisamente apprezzato il doppiaggio di Fabio Volo che ha reso Po davvero irresistibile e umano in tutta la sua goffagine e fragilità.  Animazione perfetta sotto ogni aspetto, la scena in cui Po si sveglia nella sua camera è di un realismo impressionante. Riuscitissimi i combattimenti. Carinissima la canzone Kung Fu Fighting. Sono proprio soddisfatta!!!

Some old photographs in a box - forgotten friends and dreams - a compromised life - success without happiness - a chance meeting with an old friend and nothing to talk - picking up the pieces of an unfinished story - that's Rock on.

Many of us have gone through such feelings, when we have lost our most dear friends because of reasons beyond our understanding. When we pick up old photographs of those lost friends and find them meaningless and meaningful at the same time. What a time it was!! Did all that happened in this birth? Somehow, that is where this movie connects. Infact, that is why movies like Jaane tu and Dil Chahta Hai connected. All of us saw ourselves right there on the screen.

Rock On is a story of four friends who create a rock band called Magik. Aditya Shroff is the lead vocalist (played by Farhan Akhtar) who pens down unconventional poetry and give the band a unique voice. Joe is the lead guitarist (played by Arjun Rampal) who is very idealistic and does not believe in compromising with his principles or music. He is talented but does not know how to do the lobbying. Kedar Zaveri or K.D. is the drummer (played by Purab Kohli) who is the sole successor of a family of jewelers but prefers his drums to the suffocating family business. He is the joker of the gang and the most lively character in the movie. Rob is the keyboard player (played by Luke Kenny) who is the most level headed member of the band, someone you can rely upon to resolve the problems in minutes.

Everything was going fine and the band won the Channel V contract for an Album when the Band disintegrated and the success story died before its inception. The four of them went their own ways forgetting each other and leading a life which they never wanted to lead till Aditya's wife (played by Prachi Desai) meets Kedar by chance ten years later and then comes across some long forgotten photographs of her husband's life about which she was completely unaware. And thus starts the uphill task of the band's reunion.

Rock on does not have the flamboyance of Dil Chahta Hai but is more grounded in reality. It does not reaches the standards set by DCH but is very believable in its own way. Yes, you can draw parallels but then you can do that with 99% of the movies in Bollywood. The movie works at many levels. The strings of your heart will be stirred.

The movie does not belong to a single actor. All the four lead actors never leave the skin of their roles. Arjun Rampal shows a maturity which was unexpected while Farhan is able to bring out the subtle difference in his character during the ten year span even though this is his first movie as an actor. Although he is the most successful of the four members of his band after the split, he is still angry about the way his life has turned up and it shows in his strained relationship with his wife. Prachi is the surprise package of the movie. She acts like a seasoned actress and it does not look at all that this is her first film. The scene in which she tells Aditya that she is pregnant is her best. Koel Purie as Joe's wife is also perfect in her role of a frustrated woman who has to give up her dreams to run the business of her failed husband.

On the negative side, the movie picks up pace in the second half and does not have much of a comic dose which seems to be quite essential for the Indian audience(specially since they are lapping up crude movies with 15 over the top comic sequences). Also the movie trudges too close to the abyss of a typical Bollywood movie towards the end and it is on the verge of loosing its unique identity.

The music composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy is very apt and suits the mood of the movie like a glove. And the concert at the end of the movie will want you to get up and dance. A good story, crazy music, well etched roles and good acting. What else do we want?

A little blonde head popped between our cinema seats and I was split seconds away from responding with "Yeah, well you're a..." before I realised that despite the 7p.m. showing, the loud kiddie buzz of teenyboppers on sugar highs and the 12A certificate - I was not in fact a twelve-year-old on my amazing Friday night trip to the cinema with my amazing friends, my amazing glittery accessories and my amazing ability to piss off other cinemagoers with my amazingly loud voice. Nope, I was just the girl almost twice that age with a misguided desire to see Wild Child. I glared and turned my head. The cinema usher came to quiet them.

"What's yer name? What's yer name?"

"Ben." Fool. Fool. Never tell them your name.

"Ben Ben Ben, when's it startin'? What time's the film startin' at?" See?

"Soon"

"When exactly is soon though?"

"You're going to have to be quiet."

"You're not the manager."

"I am the manager, no I'm not the manger, I wish I was." Oh, Ben.

He skulked away, unsuccessful. They quietened down as the feature began. The lights went down. Susan and I pulled smuggled-in McDonalds goodies from our bags and munched. Call me a loser all you want but I ain't twelve and I know how to get a take-away into the movies. Smell the aroma of cheesy goodness, kid? That'd be my double cheese burger. Do you have a double cheese burger? No? Oh right, sucks to be you.

My mouth went a little agape as the young Emma Roberts enquired of her new British boarding school friends as to what "shagging" was. Shagging? Really? In a 12A? Now, I'm pretty sure I knew what it was when I was 12. In fact, I pretty much definitely did because I was in secondary school by then which was around the time I finished the teen reading section at the library - Louise Rennison, Melvin Burgess and Point Romance et al. Cringey. Still and all, I'm pretty sure they weren't saying "shagging" in my 12s films. Madness altogether. Perhaps I'm a prude. Am I a prude?

Either way, Wild Child is heavy on pretty people who can't act ('cept Emma, who ain't bad) and the plot doesn't work if you think about it for more than 5 seconds....so yeah, I guess I would have enjoyed it were I 12, and I was probably just expecting too much having been ultimately impressed by Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.

I like a bratty kid. A proper brat. One with cheek whose boldness is endearing because it's funny or self aware. I do not like obnoxious, loud little girls who "have no rearing on them" as they'd say at home. The kids flaired up again toward the end of the feature. A lady a few rows in front of us stood up, marched over and put the fear of God in them. I am at once hopeful and yet desperately afraid that she's who I'll be when I'm older.

Don't go see Wild Child. It's not in the tradition of great boarding school movies (Strike! how I love thee) and the audience is made up of horrid little people (yeah I know, hand me my tarring brush).

Tis what I get for trying to cinema outside my age group.

E aí voltando ao tópico dos dinossauros, entramos no chavão "nada se cria tudo se copia". Me dei conta ontem, ouvindo Don't Stand So Close to Me pela enésima vez, quando ele diz que toda a história da garotinha querendo pegar o professor Sting (quem não o faria?, convenhamos) é "just like the book by Nabakov". Hum, o cara da Lolita - The Police só fazendo o merchandising pelo prol da leitura.

Mas como uma teoria precisa de um embasamento mais sólido, com mais que um exemplo, hoje me veio a luz. Meu celular, com 22% de memória, foi levado pela minha pessoa até a área de serviço, no modo walkman, para que a bateria finalmente terminasse e eu pudesse recarregá-lo. Então imagine a cena: eu lá, lavando roupa, com o celular no basculante da janela, tocando Roberto the fucking king of Jovem Guarda Carlos. Qual a diferença entre eu e uma doméstica no mesmo ofício, porém em 1971? A falta de fios, somente.

O universo é um eterno dia da marmota, pessoas. Fato.

A diretora brasileira Carla Gallo aborda esse tema tão polêmico no seu documentário de 72 minutos, chamado “O aborto dos outros”, com relatos fortes e contundentes de mulheres que interromperam a gravidez.

This French film begins with a 75th birthday party and ends with a teenage girl taking some tentative steps into adulthood. In between, the relentless cycle of life is explored through the prism of three generations of the same family.

The elegant Hélène (Edith Scob) is the matriarch of a family scattered to the four winds and who now lives in the rural family home with just her long-suffering housekeeper (Isabelle Sadoyan) for company. She is devoted to preserving and promoting the name of her uncle, an artist of modest repute. Moreover, the house appears to be bulging with various antiques of value.

Her death, though, brings certain unspoken tensions to a head between her three children, two of whom now live abroad. The oldest, an academic (Charles Berling), wants to preserve the family home and the works within it.The others have lost touch with those days and have practical financial matters to address. Accordingly, decisions over the inheritance need to get made.

Now I agree that this does sound like a rather galling discussion to have to listen in on. However, there is a certain voyeuristic realisation on your part that this is a discussion that most siblings sadly have to have sooner or later. Therefore, in true soap opera style, you do want to know how it works out between them.

At the same time, the film fortunately does extend beyond that in terms of its ambition! It also portrays a keen sense of life being for the living. Hélène is insistent that her interests in preserving the past die with her. Frédéric, mostly out of a sense of filial duty, is inclined to disagree. However, his own life is complicated by raising children of his own, as well as other challenges that are to befall him. In this sense, Frédéric is representative of middle age - having to accept that not everything in life can be as he wants it to be, but learning to accept the pleasures that his life does offer him.

Finally, there is Sylvie (Alice de Lencquesaing), the daughter of Frédéric. The early scenes show her frolicking with the other children. Later on, she has a run-in with the law. However, when she brings all of her friends to the old house for a party, the sense is clearly that she is now less of a child and now more of a woman. Once more, so, time has had its effect. and the cycle continues.

This film was brought about with the support of the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Inevitably, this makes it another film with a sense of product placement to it, given that it overtly promotes the idea that there are inheritance tax benefits from turning over valuable antiques to the French State. At the same time, there is an interesting debate throughout the film regarding aesthetics versus utility. This leads to several nicely worked tongue-in-cheek moments. There is also the rather sad transition of a fine-looking desk from being a busy place of work to being just some more pieces of adjoined wood sitting there all polished and shiny in a museum for visitors to breeze nonchalantly past.

On the whole, Summer Hours is a little ponderous and erratic as a work. Equally, it is somewhat devoid of drama. However, it does engage in the subjects of death and the continuity of life in a manner that both avoids over-sentimentality and provokes some worthy thought on the subject. Above all, though, it paints a picture of family life from a variety of perspectives. Even if this can feel a little cobbled together at times, it does capture that sense of different and assertive points of view having to figure out ways of all getting along together. In the end, familial love wins out over property and objects.

This is a film that is unlikely change your life, but it does possess a simple and touching beauty to it that should enrich your life a little.

Il magazine giapponese RoadShow ha pubblicato una nuova trama di Dragonball: nella sinossi notiamo alcuni significativi (seppur piccoli) cambiamenti rispetto all'originale, come potete leggere dopo il salto.

" Goku decide di partire alla ricerca del Maestro Muten e delle sette sfere del Drago, a causa dell'insistenza di suo nonno, morente, di nome Gohan. Sulla strada verso il Maestro Muten, incontra Bulma, che decide di unirsi a lui nella ricerca (nel cartone si trattava della ricerca di Bulma, e Goku si univa a lei).

Goku arriva a destinazione, ma anziché essere accolto a braccia aperte viene invitato a sfidare il Maestro Muten. Quando Muten scopre che Goku è il nipote di Gohan, lo incita alla battaglia contro il Grande Mago Piccolo - l'ultima guerra per impedire a Piccolo di ottenere le Sfere... "

Sarà quindi questa la trama del film, salvo modifiche dell'ultimo minuto...

Train de Nuit - Ye Che - Diao Yi Nan (2006, sortie France le 23 janvier 2008)

La solitude sentimentale d'une jeune femme huissier de justice dont la tâche principale est d'accompagner à la mort les femmes condamnées à la peine capitale. Elle aura une brève histoire d'amour avec un homme dont l'épouse fut l'une de ces femmes. C'est un film assez bien cadré, assez bien réalisé, assez intéressant, mais qui ne bouleverse jamais, qui a de bonnes idées mais qu'on a déjà vu ailleurs, et qui n'a pas de génie. En même temps, ce n'est pas un film désagréable pour autant. On le suit poliment.

Zelig - Woody Allen (sortie France le 14 septembre 1983)

Conceptuellement, Zelig est un exercice très réussi. Il s'agit d'un faux documentaire sur un certain Zelig, monstre, au sens littéral, des années 20, qui avait la particularité de se transformer physiquement pour ressembler à la personne qui est à ses côtés. Zelig peut devenir noir, gros, asiatique... Ce faux doc est composé d'images d'archives que Woody Allen recompose avec beaucoup d'ingéniosité, de témoignages sonores enregistrés à l'époque et de témoignages contemporains donnés par de vraies personnalités, telles Susan Sontag ou Bruno Bettleheim. Le fait qu'ils jouent leur propre rôle dans le film accentue la crédulité que le spectateur apporte à ce faux doc.
Symboliquement, le film raconte de belles choses : Zelig est Juif, et c'est sa judaïté qui l'a poussé à se transformer : pour ressembler aux autres, pour se fondre dans une société puisqu'il a été exclu de sa Terre. Et c'est l'amour qui stoppera les transformations : Zelig s'acceptant enfin tel qu'il est.
L'expérience est intéressante, louable et réussie. Après, Zelig n'est pas un film jouissif, car il est avant tout un film de dispositif.

Acho que o que estava no centro deste argumento é como afastadas as pessoas se podem tornar da realidade e de quem os rodeia quando deixam que os seus medos e pensamentos tomem conta.

Às vezes é preciso um abanão ou algo do género para nos "acordar" e fazer ver as coisas mais claramente...

Recomendo este filme a quem já alguma vez se sentiu assim, acho que é a melhor maneira de conseguir entender o que se está a ver.

Qui il trailer, in settimana dovrei riuscire ad andarlo a vedere cosi` postero` qualche prima impressione. Ci si aspetta che gli otto mesi di rinvio -- al 17 luglio 2009 -- saranno una delusione per i milioni di fan di Harry Potter in tutto il mondo, che stanno già attendendo da oltre un anno per vedere il nuovo film sul grande schermo.

Warner Bros., unità di Time Warner, ha detto di aver deciso di rinviare il lancio per sostenere la stagione estiva, periodo in cui gli studios incassano il 40% di tutto il box office.

"Sappiamo che la stagione estiva è una finestra ideale per i film dedicati alla famiglia, come prova il successo del nostro ultimo film di Harry Potter", ha spiegato il presidente di Warner Bros., Alan Horn.

Lo studio ha aggiunto che il cambio di data non altera comunque i piani di produzione per l'ultimo film in due parti del giovane mago, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". La data di uscita per la prima parte resta per novembre 2010.

"Deathly Hallows", il settimo e ultimo libro dell'autrice della saga, J.K. Rowling, è uscito nel luglio dell'anno scorso.

Tutta la serie ha venduto una stima di 400 milioni di copie e i libri sono stati tradotti in oltre 60 lingue.

Body of Lies, o novo filme de Ridley Scott em que tem como protagonistas Russell Crowe e Leonardo DiCaprio teve o seu primeiro poster divulgado.

Baseado no romance de acção e espionagem de David Ignatius, Russell Crowe será Ed Hoffman, um líder da CIA que em conjunto com Roger Ferris um ex-jornalista, vivido por DiCaprio, se torna um agente da CIA, que terá como missão encontrar na capital da Jordânia o suposto líder da Al Qaeda.

Body of Lies tem Ridley Scott como realizador, enquanto que o argumento ficará a cargo de William Monahan, o responsável pelo guião de "The Departed - Entre Inimigos".

O filme tem a estreia marcada apenas para 10 Outubro nos EUA, entretanto assista ao trailer já divulgado aqui pelo Hotvnews.

Mais uma descida em termos de afluência às salas de cinema portuguesas; nesta semana 1.283.584,16€ de receita bruta de bilheteira foi criada por um 292.498 espectadores de cinema.

Depois de uma grande estreia, Wall-E não perdeu o carinho dos cinéfilos e de todas as famílias portuguesas. Pela segunda semana, o pequeno robot lidera a tabela dos filmes mais vistos em Portugal esta semana, com 73.473 espectadores.

A estreia do novo filme de Guillermo del Toro, Hellboy II: O Exército Dourado recheado de efeitos especiais obteve bons resultados. O filme obteve 7.7 valores no sítio do IMDB e 88% de críticas positivas em RottenTomatoes.com. A história de Hellboy ocupou imediatamente o segundo lugar do pódio com 44.498 espectadores.

Outros dois blockbusters de Verão, Get Smart - Olho Vivo e A Múmia: O Túmulo do Imperador Dragão ocuparam, respectivamente, o terceiro e o quarto lugar da tabela, com valores pouco acima dos 30 mil espectadores.

Superhero Movie - Um Estrondo Filme!, muito ao estilo de filmes como Scary Movie, estreou esta semana e deu entrada directa no quinto lugar, obtendo uma assistência de 24.693 espectadores. Em contraste, o negro O Cavaleiro das Trevas desceu mais duas posições e ocupa agora o sexto lugar, acumulando assim, desde a sua estreia, 308.744 espectadores.

Em sétimo lugar encontra-se O Panda do Kung Fu, que tendo sido visto por 15.894 esta semana e segundo os meus cálculos, para a semana possivelmente tornar-se-á o filme mais visto de 2008, em Portugal. Logo de seguida, Ficheiros Secretos: Quero Acreditar conquistou 15.776 espectadores, ocupando o oitavo lugar.

Por fim, dois filmes de acção em vertentes diferentes: Procurado e Tropa de Elite. Os filmes surgem, respectivamente, no nono e décimo lugar da tabela, com valores entre mais de 7 e 3 mil espectadores.

A título de curiosidade, a estreia do filme português de Miguel Gomes, Aquele Querido Mês de Agosto ocorreu em apenas cinco salas de cinema do país e deu entrada na décima quarta posição, tendo conquistado 2.783 espectadores.

Na próxima semana, teremos duas estreias de peso. Um deles é Mamma Mia! tem o mesmo nome de uma música célebre dos Abba e é baseado no musical com título homónimo; este filme conta com Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, entre outros. Por fim, teremos também a estreia do filme Pequeno Grande Dave, o filme mais recente da estrela Eddie Murphy.

A respeito do quinto filme da saga de Saw, a Lionsgate continua a revelar novos posters a uma velocidade estonteante...

Este poster agrada-me mais que os outros, devido ao seu estilo minimalista e intrigante, dando uma imagem simples, mas arrojada.

Saw V, do realizador David Hackl, estreia nos EUA a 24 de Outubro deste ano.
