Three are J-doramas--Maho no Jouken (Forbidden Love), Kimi wa Petto and Anego;  and one Korean --My name is Kim Sam Soon.  The J-doramas really played up the age difference since the gap is really wide, as in 8-10 years.  In KSS,  the woman was just four years older.  Kimi wa Petto is light comedy drama, where the women are tall, beautiful, successful career women, graduate of so-called "elite" universities, but unskilful or lacking in love, and they usually become obsessed (or desperate) about getting married when they reach the age of around 32 years.  

In Maho, the woman was only 26, but the guy, her student, was only 17 yrs, a minor,  so there is a deeper societal abberration here than in Anego and KWP, where the guys are in their early 20s, and have finished  compulsory schooling already.  In Anego,  Jin Akanishi is  the young guy in love with his older officemate.  Jin is a famous Johnny's Entertainment talent  and also a member of the boy band KAT TUN. In KWP, the young guy was played by Matsumoto Jun, also with Johnny's and member of the popular boy band ARASHI.

I have yet to see a May-December romance where the guy would be older than the woman, except for one Korean drama-Sweet Eighteen; but this didn't play on the older guy's weakenesses but rather focused on the younger girl's immaturity.  Looking at it both ways,  the Asian dramas I have seen so far played on the women's limitations rather than the guy's.  Is this a reflection of these countries current society's thinking?

 In the Philippines, although I am not updated on the movie-drama scene,  I would think that there are more May-December movies where the guys are older than the women.

Човек и добре да живее, накрая сяда да гледа сериал. Винаги ми е било мъчно, че Слънчавият лъч си има "Lost", "Supernatural", "Prison break", "Dr. Haus" и "Dexter", а аз едно аниме от 10 епизода не мога да изтърпя. И все пак, преди 2 дни се поразрових около един симпатяга - Аканиши Джин и открих че и той участва в драмичка (дорамичка де). Въпреки продължителността от 60 минути на всеки епизод, се зарибих още в първите 20 минути на първия.
Първо, няколко думи за Джин. Джин е айдъл. Не като българските естествено. В Япония си падат по мултифункционалните неща, така че Джин може да се усмихва, да си върти дупето, да танцува, да бъде актьор и още куп други полезни неща. Има повече фенки от населението на Япоия, сигурна съм. Между другото, покрай него открих че има хиляди уикипедии:
Джин, Джин пак, Джин в друго уики, Джин аген
Стига толкова за него. За какво става дума в сериалчето: имаме една прекрасна office lady, която е всеотдайна и услужлива и винаги изслушва и помага на младите работници в компанията. Младите, защото тя е на 32, пределната възраст за моминстване. Общо взето ситуацията й е кофти, защото е сама, въпреки хилядите опити на майка й да я сватоса за някого на blind date. Проблем е и че си пада по мъжа на нейна приятелка, който я е спасил от мръсен пияница в метрото. И за капак на всичко, сред новите employers е и Аканиши Джин, който се влюбва в нея, въпреки че е 11 години по-млад от нея. Въпреки че се целува и с двамата и дори се събужда в леглото с Джин, не можах да я намразя. Просто няма такава симпатична кака като нея. Между другото, заглавието "Anego" значи именно "Кака" (винаги съм се чудила в кои други езици освен български имат специално понятие за кака).
Та, в рамките на 10 епизода съм се смяла и плакала с кака Нода. Колкото и бозав да е сценария, след всеки епизод ми става светло на душата. Причина за това може би е ендинг-песничката: Нана Китаде "Kiss or Kiss"

2 more weeks left and my summer classes will be over. Hurray~! :D Time flies really fast :P

I've been watching lots of doramas lately.  And I am not complaining :) But I haven't finished all of them. Hoho.  I'm also planning to watch LOTS of anime yayyy~ because my friend will lend me some of his DVDs.  LUCKY~! :D :D

My Lucky Star- (still on episode 3).  I'm not that interested with the story and the characters too T_T The girl is pretty but the guy is.. bleh.  I dunno.  I have to finish this because according to the reviews I've read, it is a great drama.  Hmm.  It reminds me of the kdrama, My Girl.  Let's see which drama is better :)

One Pound Gospel- (episode 7) KAME IS SUPER CUUUUUUUUUTE!!! ♥♥♥ But.. but.. I don't know :( I bought a pirated DVD of this drama because I don't have time to download anything -_-' The english subs suck so much and they changed the characters' names into Chinese names. WHUT O_O I still understand the story though.  It's weird.  A boxer fell in love with a NUN??? Why a nun, of all people? T___T; Kuroki Meisa is pretty btw.  And she looks good with Kame too (BUT HER CHEMISTRY WITH KAME ISN'T AS PERFECT AS AYASE HARUKA'S OKAY :D) 2 more episodes to go.  I'm hoping that Kame  gets a drama with a better storyline next time XD He's adorable <3

Tantei Gakuen Q- (episode 3) Detective Conan! LOL.  And the funny guy from Detective Conan, Aya's dad in One Liter of Tears, is there too~! :D I REALLY LIKE IT ♥ Even though the cast were REALLY young (Shida Mirai, Kamiki Ryunosuke)  If you like Kaname Jun (Nao's bro in Tatta Hitotsu no Koi), he's there as well ^^, and his role here is much much better XD  Expect these kids to solve a mystery problem each episode.  But the cases weren't childish at all.  There's blood okay! Maybe some of you will think it's childish but whatever, I like it :)  Isip-bata ako e lol.  AND OMG I SO LOVE KAMIKI RYUNOSUKE.  So cute and adorable ♥ Like Kame.  And would you believe I got kilig in his scenes with Shidai Mirai??? LOL.  One thing I disliked in this drama is that kid, Yamada Ryosuke.  I find him annoying in 1 pound and he's annoying here too -_-; I don't like him, his acting reminds me of someone but I can't figure out who that someone is =_= Oh well.  His hair is ugly and his face is fat.  Oops, mean.

Kamen Rider Kabuto- (episode 6 but I ff-ed it to ep12 because of Kazuki LOL) Hiro! Kato Kazuki!! ♥ Hihi~ But Kazuki as a makeup artist? OMGNOOOO~ @__@ disturbing.

Pride (episode 4)- stopped watching.  Will continue later XD

Yama Onna Kabe Onna (episode 4)- I LOVE ITO MISAKI.  She's stunning. :)

Unwatched dorama dvds:
Anego- is it good? Jin (in suits!!) is there but I'm quite hesitant to watch it.  Looks boring XD
The Bizarre Case Files of Shiori and Shimiko- Weird storyline.  But looks interesting.  I might watch this first before Anego :P One of the leads is the girl from one pound with Kame. Hmm.
Papa to Musume no Nanokakan- one of my friends told me that he will lend me his DVD.  yay.
Nodame Cantabile SP- because I haven't watched eps 8-11 of Nodame yet :(

Quizá merezca un título más original, pero es la palabra que mejor define el drama. Anego en japonés significa algo así como "hermana mayor". Pero no necesariamente se refiere al aspecto biológico, sino a una relación más bien de camaradería. Y en eso básicamente consiste el drama.

Una mujer, soltera, de 32 años, veterana en una compañía de las que tanto abundan en Japón. Obsesionada por el matrimonio en un país en el que no estar casada a los 30 años casi es motivo de marginación social, todo el drama gira en torno a ella. A través del personaje de Noda Naoko (Shinohara Ryoko), los once capítulos ofrecen una panorámica bastante fiel de la sociedad japonesa. La frialdad en las relaciones, la soledad y la búsqueda desesperada de un compañero, el machismo, la obligación de pertenencia al grupo...

Todo aderezado con mucho sentido del humor, ella es una verborreica un pelín histérica, y con una diferencia, Anego es Noda Naoko. Una "senpai" (superior, ya sea en edad, en jerarquía, o en ambos) que se encarga de cuidar de todos sus compañeros de trabajo hasta el punto de (casi) renunciar a su vida por ellos. La eterna consejera. El contrapunto es un chaval de 22 años que entra en la misma compañía, Kurosawa Akihiko (Akanishi Jin), que se encarga de revolucionar el mundo de Anego.

Para muchos es la típica historia de mujer madura loca-por-casarse se enamora de chico diez años más joven que ella. Pero nada más lejos de la realidad. El drama es Anego, por tanto, es Shinohara Ryoko. No es un drama coral, por mucho que sea su intención. Ni siquiera Akanishi Jin o Kato Masaya, los protagonistas masculinos, logran adquirir el protagonismo suficiente. El primero, por falta de experiencia. El segundo, porque su papel es demasiado mezquino para ganarse más protagonismo del debido.

Entonces, ¿qué tiene de bueno Anego? Está claro. Shinohara Ryoko. Es cierto que está encasillada en un papel que sabe interpretar muy bien y que es difícil imaginarla en otro. Lo bueno es que si te gusta una vez, te gustará siempre. Su verborrea transmite energía. Gracias a su interpretación, el drama transmite ternura y logra captar la atención de cualquier mujer que se haya sentido sola, aunque haya sido solo una vez en la vida.

Lo peor, siempre hay algo muy malo, es la indefinición. Es algo a lo que uno se acostumbra después de ver muchos dramas japoneses, pero no por eso se lleva mejor. El final, bueno, los finales, porque son dos. Después de que el drama finalizara en 2005, meses después se emitió un especial que termina dejando una sensación de confusión mucho mayor que la del final. Una pena.
